Well after diving head first into this deep dark rabbit hole of traditional wet shaving and looking at other's shave send I decided I needed to spruce up my bathroom a bit and make it more suited to my tastes. Few costs of paint and a some custom made shelves I feel that everything is more organized and inviting. I may look like I know what Iam doing but it's just a newbie running at full speed into acquisition disorders. I have been relearning how to shave since I taught myself some bad habits over the past couple years.
VERY NICE DEN!!! It looks Absolutely wonderful.... Is there another way to go into AD mode other than FULL SPEED!!! Where did you get those shelves? Man I wish my space looked as nice as yours! I'm jealous.. Thanks for sharing.....
The shelves were made by me. I love building things and enjoyed adding a fancy old touch to the designs. The aftershave shelves and brush rack us made from oak that my dad said might be over 100 years old, the over head shelf with displays of bottles is made from cedar. One thing I joked about on another forum us the jack Daniels bottle in the counter. It started as a joke to make guests do a double take but it serves well. I hate plastic bottles, and really hate the big bulk bottles mouthwash comes in. The jack Daniels bottle also goes well with the shotgun shell shot glass that I use as a toothbrush holder and I also use a vintage shot glass for dosing the mouthwash. Your shelves look GREAT!! I really LIKE the Jack Daniels/shotgun shell tooth care theme. I can't make anything , but I can sure empty a bottle of Jack or Early Times or maybe some Crown...Sky Vodka has a nice blue bottle also and use the empty for a glass mouthwash bottle.... So many choices...
