Proven set up again. 4/8 Rebell from herzi Vie-Long horsehair brush Williams mug soap/Palmolive shave stick superlather (only a bit left in the tub) Cold water splash Mayor Energy Platinum splash I neglected my Rebell razor for weeks. I grabbed it yesterday and was rewarded with very comfortable shave, despite the fact of shaking hands after stick spar work that day.
Prep: Hot shower Brush: Silver tip Razor: Merkur 34C Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock green Cream: Sandalwood mix. I call it the garbage can. I combined some I wasn't crazy about and the result was pretty good. Post: Cold water. Shave quality - good, not great. I was in a hurry this morning.

Wednesday: Axe Chilled Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/7 AM day 3 Godrej Menthol Mist SC Anherb AS Conditioner Osage Rub AS YSL Pour Homme EDT I froze my face off Indian-style this morning with a wonderful shave from the Godrej Menthol Mist cream, and the Anherb conditioner also comes from India, it packs a HELL of a menthol punch. The Rubby Dubby is another king of the chillers, and it feels so good!

Another great BBS shave this morning with no nicks, cuts, scrapes or irritation! 4 passes:WTG, ATG, XTG ear to nose, XTG nose to ear. 2 passesXTG with minor touch up on the dome. I believe it is partially due to my technique getting better, but mainly the blade selection. I've tried approx 15 different blades and found that the ones that work best for me, and produce shaves like the one I got this morning, are the SuperMax Platinum's. This mornings shave was the 7th, yes, I said it. 7th shave with the same blade using in my 1965 (k2) Gillette Super Slim adjustable. Hot shower Proraso pre/post SC Proraso green tub soap Bloc Osma Alum block Thayer's lemon WH with added menthol crystals Clubman original AS with added menthol crystals Nivea CO Q 10 balm. New blade for tomorrow, possibly a super iridium. They work well too.
Gillette Red Tip SS w/Wilky LE IB Semogue Pre de Provence Soap Pre de Provence ASB This was my first whirl with a French aloe soap. This stuff is terrific! Very good performance and the skin care is great. I'm pretty much BBS and zero irritation. Now I'm just waiting on my Schick Injector G.

What an awesome soap!! Still had to re apply soap after second pass. No biggie just made for an awesome XTG, ATG passes.

Wednesday! Gem Jr Bar Gem PTFE (4) Proraso Blue SC The Colonel Proraso Splash AXE post shave gel - The one Jeff uses lol! Im not going to comment on the shave, other than it being fantastic (again). Yesterday I picked up some of the post shave gel that Jeff and other members recently acquired. The Axe chilly stuff (I don't remember its name), and ut does give a fairly good kick. Its more of a cold water splash so to speak than the freezing sensation that comes from the highly mentholated products. It was nice and it did not dry sticky or oily at all! I am very happy with it!

That little 4/8 is very comfortable to handle and takes a very nice edge. Paper-thin blade, very delicate edge. But a great shaver. My shame I still yet to learn to hone it properly. Now the result is inconsistent, but last honing session was good.
Wednesday Eucerin moisturizing cream Omega 10083 VDH Deluxe Merkur 23c w/ Kai Cetaphil gentle cleanser Dickinson's WH Two pass DFS. Little time, but still wanted to use a soap so I quickly whipped up some VDH. MWF has spoiled me lately, but VDH works well.
