    Hi lads and lasses,
Geordie Sam here, can I talk about the recent EXPLOSEN in people getting Tattoos, I myself have 3, one on each forearm and one on my right bicep (which I got 35 years ago.) What I have noticed over here at any rate is the type of person getting Tattoos has changed, from your "normal" working class type (me) to what I can only describe as middle class, there are an awful amount of student type people now getting Tattoos, that a few years ago just woudn't have. I realise Sportsmen have a BIG influence on youngsters, David Beckham for instance is covered in them (I think he has been a massive leader in this craze) but as I say middle class kids are getting them on their necks and hands, don't they realise that they are (in the main)going to be stuck with them for life, and it WILL play a big part in what their future holds.
Anyway, let's hear some tales of PAIN and WOE.(and they DO hurt)
    Geordie Sam.

My arms are what you would call heavily tattooed, but I don't have any on my hands, except for my left index which is a tiny self inflicted one. Unless your self employed in the arts community or are a criminal, stay away from neck, face and hand tattoos.

Funny when I was a teen I wanted a Tattoo soooooooo badly! But the cost and the fact that my mom found out and threatened to "Cut Off" whatever I got tattood, so I never got a real one. My friends and I used to put "non-permanent" tattos in just the top layer of skin with a needle wrapped with thread and fountain pen ink :happy097:. Lucky we didn't get blood poison :happy096:!!

I have five tattoos. They can all be covered up with long sleeves. I would love to have a half sleeve, but I don't know how to start it.

I'm in the army, tattoos are really popular in the military.

I wish to be an individual, distinctly me, and give full vent to my self expression and uniqueness, therefore I elect to have NO tattoos...

I have three, and want a few more. Mine can be covered up with short sleeves and pants. I work in a field that frowns apon them bringing unprofessional.

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

I have a half sleeve on my right arm, as well as a ring on the ring finger of my right and left hands. I have quite a few more planned as well but by regulations I can't get any on my neck anymore as a nice change to the Queens Regulations and Orders happened a few years ago.

I have 4 on my arms and find that the majority of folks in the high tech industry have them. Although for the most part they keep them above the sleeves so they can wear short sleeve shirts and not show.

It was incredible! The worst part was the "Arctic Enema" google it. they have videos. The Electric shock wasnt bad at all. That is what everyone fears the most. I'll be doing it again this year. Either June 1st in Pennsylvania, or October 12th in New Jersey. (same event i did last year)
They have raised over $5 million for the Wounded Warrior Project to date.

PanChango, you had the courage and the balls to enter and try it. That is not a failure in my book! Never give up! when i ran my first one, the oldest person to complete is was a 82 year old man, who ran it with his 60 year old son. The father looked better than the son when it was over.

The majority of my friends are tatted, but I haven't, yet, of course all of my friends are much younger. I've been curious for a long time about them, but just 'curious' doesn't seem to be reason enough. Thought I'd get a water tattoo to see what it was all about, but I'd still have to pay a decent minimum for them to break in to a sterile instrument pack. Then, I thought I'd get a teeny, hidden one, a little green dot on the inside of a finger or something, but then thought , 'Oh, no! Then I couldn't be buried in a conservative Jewish cemetery; my family said "But, you're not Jewish, Larry!" Guess I like to keep my options open (Gonna post my third idea in the dirty jokes section soon).

Suppose it comes down to looking in the mirror and wondering, "How could I possibly improve on all this!"

I have gone in 35 times to get tattoos done. I have the Marine Corps emblem on my left rib cage. I have tattoos on both arms, both chest sides and on each shoulder blade. I have a huge Koi fish covering the middle of my back. I have a tattoo on the outside of each calf and one on one of the inside of a calf. I have my grandkids name on my lower neck and my daughters name on my wrist. I also have seven piercings in my manhood. Going to do my nosering next.

Every time I think a tattoo is a good idea for me! I see a car with a huge Nike swoosh or Air Jordan symbol and remember I am too fickle to permanently mark my body.

Does anyone have shaving-related tats? Your favorite straight or Double Edge, brush, razor brand, Gillette symbol, soap logo? If not, really, I'm kinda surprised!

One of the funniest cartoons I ever saw was in a porno mag 30 years ago when I worked in the Shipyards, It was of a Hells Angel Biker who had his German helmet on, and was bare chested, who was holding the tattooist round the neck with his feet off the ground, and he was yelling "I SAID MOTHER AND FATHER" and what he had tattooed on his chest was I love "MURDER AND FARTING."
