    DONE: The winner is ehcalum!

I love trips. I love figuring out where to go, I love planning the itinerary, I love making reservation, I love packing, I love getting there (my favorite is a good old-fashioned road trip), I love being there. and I love looking at the pictures when we get home and reliving the memories. What I don't like, though, is the unpacking, laundry, and cleaning out the car that's required.

For this PIF I'm giving away a Gillette Travel Tech. This has a date code of K4 (1964/4th quarter) if that matters. I have two so I thought I'd give this one away.

In addition, I'll include the following samples

Jack Black Supreme Cream shaving cream sample, which I find to perform quite well, but with almost no scent. Unused
Ogallala Bay Rum Company - Bay Rum & Sweet Orange Shaving soap, 1 oz sample, unused
Two Aftershave Samples - your choice. I'll provide the winner with a list of ASL's and ASB's from my collection to choose one ASL and one ASB.

How to enter? Just tell me that you're in and then post a story or pictures from one of your most memorable trips. Pictures are highly encouraged but not required.

I'll run this at least a week, then close it up when the entries have tapered off.

I'll start off with a picture from our trip to Glacier National Park several years ago. This is on the shores of Two Medicine Lake

One of my most memorable trips would be the National Cherry Blossom Festival with my fiance, who was at the time my girlfriend. We had both been wanting to go for years. This was a wonderful romantic weekend for us, and the weekend I proposed to her. We are huge history and travel fans and between us have been to 5 of 7 continents.

    Count me in too!

A couple of years ago my wife and I went on a trip of a lifetime. We rode my motorcycle out West for a two week, 5,000 mile adventure. I want to do it again, before I get too old!

Thanks for all the great pictures, folks!! It's hard to beat a good road trip.

On of my "bucket list" trips is to take a month or so off from work, drive up to Alaska, explore it for a while, then take the ferry down to Vancouver and then back to Minnesota. My oldest son said he'd go with me after he graduates high school in a few years. Hopefully I'll be able to take that time off then, and he'll still be able to go.

These photos remind me of the several trips I took to the PNW (My Brother lived in Oregon for 2 years) and the SW. I've also been to Glacier NP.

Pretty awesome PIF idea. Count me in!
I am literally doing the worst part of the road trip experience tonight. I have so much laundry to do and what makes it even worse is all of the clothes are mud covered and soaked. My girlfriend, me, and several other couples went camping last weekend on Lake Travis. It was a very much needed weekend away from work and stress. W e really did have a great time. We had the good ol' campfire and cooked great food every night and campfire omlet in the morning. In case y'all don't know what that is, it is when you get a ziplock back and you crack a couple eggs into it and then fill it with all kinds of goodies/vegetables like onions, peppers, ham, sausage, etc and then shake it all together and throw it on a boiling pot of water on the fire. Yummmm! Needless to say, it poured rain the second night and lightning'd like crazy. We braved it out and it actually was quite therapeutic and I slept right through it.

youngunn Where's my TSD aftershave balm???

The wife and I went to Kansas City for the weekend a couple years ago and went to some of the famous parks and such, but the barbecue! Awesome barbecue! Here we are in one of the restaurants from that trip.

Also we have had many little getaways to wineries in our area, we enjoy wine tasting and the outdoors. Here we are at augusta winery right after we got married 5 years ago.

My fierce geriatric weenie dog, she's 13. Omg did she have fun though, I brought out the hunter in her. Plus, she was looking for any slug/turd or combination of the two to roll in.

"HI MAY I HELP YOU!?!" - We used to love taking folks to Gates for the first time and making them go first. At the one on State Line Road in south KC they would yell that over and over and over from the moment you stepped in until you finally ordered. I still pick up bottles of their sauce when I'm in town to put into my own bbq bean recipe.

Two things I miss most about living in KC are the barbecue and blues.

Ok, I'm in. And here's the story of my favorite trip:

About 5 years ago took my girlfriend out camping in western MA. Nice little campground, nice secluded campsite, lake, the whole nine yards. we hiked, we camped, we lit fires and made all kinds of s'mores. Second night in we're cuddling by the fire just talking, I pull a ring box out of my pocket, and ask her is she wants to spend the rest of her life with me. :) I'm a GREAT catch, so obviously she said 'yes'. We've not been married for a little over three years, and I've loved every single second of it. Our honeymoon was a fun trip too, but it was fun for other reasons :angelic007:

 Said "fierce weenie dog" is awesome! What's your geriatric delinquent's name? My geezer kitty fancies herself a hunter as well. Farrah is currently amusing herself (& scaring me silly) with the Backwards Banister Olympics :o

My favorite trip was a simple day out on the motorcycle. Me and a friend rode our bikes out west into Texas. We left out early that morning bundled up causes it was a bit cold. My friend just got his bike a week prior so it was bone stock. Around lunch time we found a great little bbq place, cannot even remember the town. We dropped down towards Dallas and head back towards home. Passing through a small town we found the ghostbusters car. Saw a field of tractors (guess they are grown that way). Met a guy that was from Memphis TN that flew into Dallas just to pick up a bike and trailer from a dealership. Later that night we stopped in to watch a friends band play. Round trip was 600 miles, great ride. My friend was sore from his stock bike. That next week he bought a new seat and several other things.

    Sorry no pictures though.

    Great pif, I'm in.

Her name is Peebler Lee. Lee is my middle name, and we call her PB for short. BUT...she has several other nicknames that she answers to, such as: P-Bungle, Turdlet, Chinker, Chink-n-Bink, Peebsie, and sometimes Squanto. Mostly PB though.
She is obsessed with the neighbors cats. He has a chain link fence seperating our front yards and she loves to terrorize them. One jumped off a shelve in our garage the other day that scared her as we were coming in from a bathroom break and I've never seen her run so fast. Not running fast chasing, but tail between her legs yelping and yippin all the way to the front door. She didn't even think about protecting me, that ass was gone. I laughed so hard.

It's hard to believe she is 13. I hope she lives another 5 more years because it is going to kill me when she passes.
Here is a couple of photos of her at Christmas going HAM opening her gifts and mine.
