Hi all, Just a quick note to check in. I'm from the UK (London-ish) and have been DE shaving for a year or so (Edwin Jagger DE89 is my preferred razor, slim adjustable a close second) and SE shaving for two weeks (lovely Gem Clog-Pruf). I've got a Rolls en route from eBay and signed up so I could read Greg's awesome restoration tutorial - all 15 pages of it! Many thanks for taking the time to put something so informative together. I'm sure I'll add to the content with my own questions and observations All the best Stu
Thanks for the welcome - I absolutely will share them. I'm currently waiting for the rolls to land - it's somewhere in the hands of Royal Mail and no indication yet as to when it will swap from theirs to mine!
to TSD Chopper.....I hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do... Since your in Britian and your experimenting with SE's...You might want to check out an EverReady Streamline SE. They are hard to get in the states and downright "EXPENSIVE" when you add the shipping charges from Britian in.... But they are nice shavers..I use a 1928 EverReady "shovelhead" and like it "Very" much!!! I also use an EJ89 daily, but mated to a Weber SS BullDog handle, makes the EJ head feel like a different (for the better) razor....
The streamlines are expensive here too! I've just missed out on a set that went for £50. It might be cheaper than for you chaps but still a bit too rich for me!
Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
I actually have two Streamlines, (1 single and one set)that I got at more or less reasonable prices off of ebay. But they represent "ALOT" of time hunting on the computer...
