Tuesday of SE week Cerave face cleanser Mike's Natural soap, unscented HIS Synthetic brush Schick injector with Schick blade Cerave lotion I had some irritation yesterday, so I was more careful today on angle. I recall now that day one of a new Schick blade is often rougher than the second day, and today was much better. Mike's soap is excellent, of course, and I had lots of great lather from the big HIS brush. Comfortable BBS in 3 passes plus touch up.

Had to forgo SE week to test my new Bulldog. Hot Towel WD Silver Tip Tabac Soap Gillette "1904" Bulldog DORCO ST300 Cold Rinse WH Clubman!! Very nice shave. The DORCO didn't seem to cut all that well. But it was my first shave with a new razor, and blades. Very mild shave but close. I didn't go too deep since I cheese grated my neck last night. The Bulldog is a very fine old razor! Glad I bought it!

PREP: hot shower, Neutrogena gentle face soap CREME: Taconic Tequila Lime BRUSH: Pro 48 BLADE: Bic chrome platinum RAZOR: EJ DE89 POST: Captain's Choice Cat o Nine Tails Bay Rum AS The tequila crème is very refreshing. I usually use it when the weather gets warmer, I enjoy it with clubman lime sec and Stephan island lime aftershaves. It is a great quality, and a hell of a deal at $15 for a 4oz tube. But today I have bigger fish to fry. Just got my new bay rum, and this one is supposed to be extra stingy. In fact, there is a label on the side of the bottle that reads "feel the burn." Many may remember, I love the sting. I love the tightening and the pull, especially the way your skin looks. And it does burn, more than any other I've used, but its not too much. Its a warming sensation after the alcohol wears. Anyhow, its a great aftershave. I'd recommend a citrus-y, rum, or any warm weather themed lather before the aftershave, simply because it puts me in a good mood. Like i'm headed out for a day of vacation when I know i'm off to a day of responsibility. ATTN HEAD SHAVERS! I don't make a habit of it, but have done it several times in the past. I took my melon down to the skin with a razor yesterday. I got a great shave, but that isn't the point. Point here is after I shaved I used the Axe Chilled ASB, and the lightly cooling menthol along with its wonderful moisturizing properties was really a treat. I would like to suggest this to any head shavers out there. Hope you all have a great day. Get a shower, get shaved up, always try to look three times better than you feel, and go get it gents! SOTD Wednesday 4-3-2013 Gillette Super Speed Flair Tip w/Astra SP Proraso PSC Musgo Real SC GT G4 Scuttle Hess Barbershop Boar Thayer's Witch Hazel Nivea Replenishing ASB Pinaud Lime Sec EDC Very refreshing shave this morning. The Musgo Real SC is a Classic and a personal fav for me. The scent takes me back to the early fifties barbershop when Barber's used to lather your neck and shave it after your haircut. Gone are the good ole days but, the Musgo still captures those by-gone days with every use. The Flair Tip SS performed flawlessly as usual and, the Lime Sec EDC was a refreshing springtime topper. Great shave!
I did the same exact thing this morning. loving the feeling and smoothness, and the best part is that my head is not oily or greasy like when I use a Balm.

Wednesday morning. Axe Chilled face wash Prosaso Pre-Shave Van Der Hagen SS Van Der Hagen Boar Brush Feather (1) Edwin Jagger DE89L Witch Hazel Family Dollar Spice Styptic stick (for one nick) For a nice DFS+! While waiting for my bulk order of Astras I decided to try a Feather blade. A blade I had been avoiding but today I felt confident. I applied my trusty Prosaso Pre-Shave and the menthol felt good during preparation of the lather. The lather bloomed nicely as I spent more time working it up, looking for those Antarctica peaks of rich goodness. I quickly realized there was nothing to fear about the Feather. It didn’t seem much different than the Gillette Silver Blue, but not as smooth, despite stropping the blade on my palm. The only casualty was my old acne scar, which I nicked during the second pass. But I’ve had that problem with other blades. It’s an easy fix with the Styptic after the shave. The feather was indeed sharp and mowed down everything in its path. It was excellent to buff with on my chin and neck. I tried to avoid directly ATG, and I’m thinking I should avoid ATG all together on the neck. Going diagonal seems to work better and I’m doing that more and more. But I was extra careful and light and had no problems. With the traditional three pass with touch-ups all went normal, nothing extraordinary like I had with the Silver Blue or Astra SP but very good all the same. The second day with it will probably be even better. As always your mileage my vary. The end result is no irritation or burn, my face feels refreshed and comfortable. Aces!
