Prep: hot towel then Proraso pre/post Strop: Star Shaving - 100 round trips Soap: TOBS Sandalwood whipped up in G20 Brush: TGN grade A in a handle PIF'd by Oscar11 Razor: Boker King Cutter Post: warm rinse, cold rinse,Thayers WH, Alum, Pinaud Clubman. My first SOTD post after a Str8 razor shave. The Boker is from the bay. I honed it on a Norton 4k/8k before stropping. I have been shaving with a few different straights for a few weeks, and this was my first BBS. Not a single nick or even a weeper. 16 hours later and I am just starting to feel stubble. I have been getting pretty good shaves during the week, but the relaxed time I had this morning let me concentrate on the shave instead of if I was going to be able to get it done in time to get to work.

Mühle samples day 4 - 6.4.2013 Prep: shower, RazoRock glycerine pre-shave soap Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable Blade: Personna Med Prep (2) Brush: WSP Monarch HMW Scuttle: "Estremoz" V2 Green Cream: Mühle Sea Buckthorn Post: T.N. Dickinson's Witch hazel Aftershave: Mühle Sea Buckthorn ASL Well, this was the last of my Mühle samples. It seems like they made a mistake while packaging some of them and it seems the sandalwood cream I used on Friday was actually sea buckthorn as well. I don't know how this could've happened, but it was the exact same scent. So in a way I was right when I said I've never smelt a sandalwood scent like that. The lotion was different from the sandalwood one so no mistakes here. Bottom line from these Mühle samples is that I really liked the skin care properties from both the shaving creams and aftershave lotions. I just don't know if they've convinced me to buy full-sized products.
Sunday: NXT Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Dovo Bismarck 5/8 Ginger's Garden Ice Mint SS Anherb AS Conditioner Osage Rub AS Grey Flannel EDT I was going to use Proraso White soap this morning but my little princess picked up my Ginger's Garden soap and sniffed it and told me, "Daddy, this soap smells soooo nice - please use it!" so how could I refuse? I'm actually very happy I did, because it's an awesome soap which our dear Irena created. A gorgeous minty scent, the lather is wonderful and rich, and the menthol effect blows Proraso Green away. The Anherb conditioner combined with the Rubski Dubski kept the chill going. BTW, my wife LOVES the Grey Flannel on me - when she kissed me this morning she told me, "oh, babe you smell so nice!"

Does anyone on here take their pictures with an iPhone? for some reason its now saying my file is too large and I cannot upload photos I used my colgate soap today with lilac aftershave, would have been a good pic. Happy wrasslemania everyone!
I take my pictures with my android phone and use an app called quickpic to shrink them for posting. You can get away with a lot lower resolution for posting than if you were going to print them.

Thought of you the other day! Let me start by saying I'm okay with menthol, not a huge fan, but I enjoy the menthol that is in Skin Bracer and Aqua Velva. The other day I picked up a bottle of Barbasol Pacific Rush ASL, have you tried it? My face was frozen for at least 5 minutes! It was a little to intense, I traded it off to a buddy. However, if you can find it, I bet you'd like it. Cheap too! Two bucks a bottle, have a good one!

Sunday morning. Axe Chilled face wash Shave Secret Arko/Barbasol Arctic Chiller Van Der Hagen Boar Brush Astra Super Platinum blade (2) Edwin Jagger DE89L Witch Hazel Gillette Cool Wave Nivea After-Shave Balm For a fine BBS. I tried the Arko stick for the first time, and failed to make a good lather! Man I love the smell though! Clean and fresh smelling. I'll have to read up on how to lather with this stick to try again tomorrow. So it was back to Barbasol and did two passes with touch-ups, buffing on neck, cheeks and chin, had a weeper but that stopped bleeding during touch-ups. The end result was a fine smooth shave, BBS, better than I thought it would be. Aces!
