6/8 T.I. Tabula Rasa 28mm WSP knot Nice shave this morning. I really like the scent of the Tabula Rasa and had no issues lathering it. Just a normal face lather provided a nice thick, rich lather with very good protection and skin care. http://postimage.org/
Sunday: NXT Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Dovo Bismarck 5/8 Mystic SC Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS My favorite shave day (besides Menthol Monday) because it's the only day where I get to really enjoy a shave the way I want to. I used a very good prep - first a good hot shower followed by another rinse with hot water, then a good facial massage, a couple of hot towels, then the lathering up. The Mystic cream from Bulgaria has a wonderful traditional and classy scent and soothes sensitive skin very well. It lists menthol as an ingredient , but I can't feel any cooling effect from it, but it's ok. The Booster Polar Ice aftershave is a delightful old-school Canadian aftershave which I cannot be without. (Corinne, my wife wishes it would be discontinued!)

SOTD Sunday 4-28-2013 Merkur Progress/BRW @4 Crystal Blade Proraso PSWC Musgo Real SC GT G4 Scuttle Omega 31064 Boar Thayer's Witch Hazel Nivea Replenishing ASB British Sterling Cologne As Lloyd just said; this is the final day of thank you week and I owe a big thank you to Stingraysrock for the BRW knob on the Progress I used this morning. The added length and weight that this knob provides makes the little Progress a formitable tool in the whisker whacking business! I'm very happy with the performance of all the players in this morning's shave saga.

Sunday morning shave Hot Shower TOBS Sensitive skin cream (sample) TGN 22mm Nylon brush Face lather EJ89dl Astra Superior Platinum blade (1) 3 pass shave Masters Bay Rum Beautiful shave. I'd planned to use my new #6 horsehair, but after soaking it had a little stink so I grabbed a synthetic brush instead. The TOBS Sensitive Skin is a great cream, made a beautiful lather with a good feel, but of course it was unscented and I prefer scented creams to add the ambiance. It's the first time I've used the Astra blade in since my first blade sampler pack, and I must say it did a fine job. My first experience with it wasn't good, but it was one of the first blades I tried. I guess my techniques a bit better now.

First 9 hours home. So for most of April it was about a 50/50 mix of: Lectric Shave Braun 590CC Nivea Sensitive ASB DE89 Head + iKon Bulldog Handle Feather Blades TOBS Eton College Simpsons Wee Scot Nivea Sensitive ASB The electric is surprisingly still working well, and was excellent for those moments I had to shave on the go in the back of a LAVIII that was tearing across a field. Home for 2 weeks then I'm back on exercise again for another month. I wonder what tomorrow will bring for shaving...
