BBS shave today.

Prep: hot shower, TBS Tea Tree Face Wash.
Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
Razor: Aluminum Ball End Tech.
Blade: Personna Lab.
Cream: Barbon.
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS, Axe Cooling AS Gel.

Today's shave was pretty good. I was going to use MWF again to make sure that the first time using it wasn't a fluke. I had it soaking and dumped the water out when I saw my Barbon sitting there. I put the MWF up and grabbed the Barbon, a cream I hadn't used for awhile. I'm pretty happy with my choice. I have some old irritation on my neck, but it's almost healed to the point where I can shave comfortably.

I think Barbon is my favorite aftershave. It's so cooling and tones my skin really well. The Axe Cooling AS Gel is good too. My face is pretty moisturized and refreshed.

Good shave. Wanted to see how far I could push this blade. I found it's limit. The La Toja Sensitive did it's job and protected my face though. Axe Sensitive is a great PS balm, love the scent and the care.

Mike's Barbershop is in my top 5 cream/soap list. I have some Silver Blues on the way too and will see if they live up to the good reputation.

 

The more I use Mikes soaps the more I am learning the optimum method to lather them. I find that Mikes does best when face lathering. Every scent I have I like and the lather is awesome. I will soon be ordering the other scents I don't have.

The Silver Blues are getting ready to be the first blade I buy in bulk. For me, they are the best blade I have tried so far

 

Nice, I like to hear that. You should get some Mike's Barbershop in the stick form. I have it and it's a godsend. I also like the Orange one and the Bay Rum one. It's a thirsty soap, but I get the best shaves with it.

The Handle is from "Elite Razor".I can HIGHLY recommend to buy a handle or something else there.Very good and fast communication,fast shipping and fantastic prices.The next thing i will buy at Elite Razor will be a brush with the specifications and the design i want to have.This will be a lot of fun.

First time with the Perma Sharp, and I am impressed. It is right up there with Feather and Astra Platinum as far as I'm conserned.

Three passes made up for a real close shave.

The Trumpers cream samples are difficult to get to lather properly. The samples are kind of hard in these little sample jars. I scraped some out with a popsicle stick and smeared on my face for lathering, but it wasn't enough to get enough lather for 3 passes. Still a great 2 pass shave though, I'm getting good mileage out of the Astra.

I received last week the new MdC fougere and I am very happy with it. It is truly living up to it's reputation. I like the smell also, earthly something.
The scuttle is made by Michal Yoresh and it is a wonderful thing. It is double-walled and it does a fantastic job keeping the lather warm, I'm more than happy with it. She has a store on Etsy where she sells scuttles and you can always contact her if you want a custom-made one, she sells different models. Michal has very decent prices and I understand that shipping worldwide is fast and relatively cheap.

It seems that I have been using the Gillette NEW in some form or other a lot lately. They are great performers and are easily obtained. They may look pretty rough when you first get one and, the gold plating is terrible (what might remain after 80 years) but, they can be cleaned up and polished to look very nice.
The Klar smelled wonderful this morning!
