Hi Friends, we had a wonderful, warm spring day today. So i decided to do a "Menthol Sunday". First i washed my face with a soap named "Seba-Med".After this i began my shave with the following equipment: -Preshave: Alt Innsbruck Preshave Lotion -Shaving Soap: I Coloniali -Razor: Feather Popular -Blade: Voshkod -Brush: Semogue Boar -Aftershave: Alt Innsbruck What a fine shave. There are much better razors than the Feather Popular but i gave it a shot today. He is very very gentle but not the most efficient razor out there. But it was ok in 3-passes.The soap is absolutely fantastic. Not too overpowering with menthol and not too little...Even right to get a really good feeling. And than the scent...Woooohoooo!!! Stunning!!! I love it!!! The Alt Innsbruck had done the rest.FREEEEZZZEEEEE!!! So,i hope everyone of you had a wonderful time (and will it have in future too). Take care of you. Thorsten

Pre: hot shower Brush: Case, Best Cream: TOBS Grapefruit Razor: '71 Black Beauty (3 passes on 2) Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3) Post: Pinaud's Bay Rum The Silver Blue started feeling dull today, after the third use. I think I'll move on to a different blade from the sampler pack next time, the 'Blues haven't been doing it for me so far. I've also skipped the AS balms for a couple days, instead seeing what happens with just the Pinaud's splashed on very liberally after rinsing. My skin hasn't been nearly as dry as I thought it would be, because of the alcohol content, and so far I seem to be responding well to it. Have a great week everyone! ** I'm finding that the Simpson brush is very efficient -- a little bit of TOBS goes a long way, one good swirl giving me more than enough lather for 3 passes today. I'm sure any small brush seems efficient compared to larger ones, but the amount of usable lather that stays in the brush is impressive.
The hair on the right side of my neck grows from west to east and the left side of my neck grows from east to west. The rest of my face either grows north to south, or northwest to southeast. I am one of the people who just cannot get an irritation-free ATG shave. If I do not pay close attention while shaving and end up not shaving WTG or XTG, then I get irritation every time, along with wicked ingrowns.
Funny you post that handle today. I was looking at them last night trying to make up my mind if I would like it. I have a bulldog that gets lots of use, but the wave is fairly neat. How do you like it?

The Wave handle is hefty like the Bulldog and has the same great grip with the deep Weber knurling. The smooth grooves gives a notch for the fingers to sit without feeling the knurling if you so choose. Its unique shape and extra weight makes the Old Type head even more effective. If you like the Bulldog Dale, you will love the Wave as well; go for it, you will not be disappointed!

Gillette Slim Adjustable Wilkinson Sword IB LE Semogue Sultan SC Original Scent Floid Blue DFS today. I like the sultan cream but I'm not sure I'd buy a full tub of it. It clogged my razor a bit. I cranked my slim up to 6 and got a very close shave. As always the Floid was a great finisher.

How well I know the incense used at Mass. I agree with both of you. I think it is very manly, and in your face. It is intimidating. It smells light light musk, strong leather, and dries to a sort of... cigar ash aroma.
