From what I've read the two Dickinson brothers, Thomas N. and Everett E. ran rival businesses but merged in 1997.This is made by the E.E. Dickinson company so obviously it was made sometime before 1997. The seal on the cap is intact so it should be fine to use if I decide to crack it open. Anyone remember this packaging?

Cool. This is like "Behind the Music", but for witch hazel. Family rivalries, who knew?!

Nice find! Can't help with dating other than to say the labeling looks like it might be from the 70s.

Don't we need a major crash into drugs and partying and then a slow attempt to rebuild life after rehab? Maybe OP can simulate that by going into multi-blade detox.

I remember it well, as my grandfather always had a bottle in his medicine cabinet!

From the label, I'd say that bottle's been partying hard since 1989. A good home with Tom is the happy ending :)

I've used this stuff the last two mornings. It doesn't have the traditional witch hazel scent, all I can smell is alcohol, which lasts for two or three minutes on my hands after I splash it on. I don't know if this is due to it's age or if that's how it was made. The seal was still good because when I flipped up the pour spout it sucked air into the bottle.

Interesting. Definitely a different experience than the WH being sold today.
