I picked up this ivory handled razor in Bismarck a while back. It's a stiff razor probably best described as a medium grind. It's a good razor that shaves like a wedge but has the benefit of being more readily sharpened. A nice piece of straight razor evolution. This is my first Harris cream and it's good stuff. I'm not wild about Harris scents but do like Windsor and Lavender. Shaving qualities are excellent, IMO. Have a good one, it's been the week from hell so far for me.

    Thursday - another day closer

    Prep: Hot shower, AoS PSO
Coffee: Maxwell House French Roast, BLACK
CD: Glenn Kaiser ~ Ripley County Blues
Soap: TSD SOTQ B4, Asian Plum + 3 drops TSD M Bomb
    Brush: Omega Pro 49, RED
    DE: '53 Ball End Tech
Blade: ASR Platinum Chrome, day 3, 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Osage Rub, Old Spice cologne, hand strop blade
    'Stache Wax: Steve's Own

The city tap water is starting to show signs of warmer weather; it's just not as cold as it is in winter. So to get a chilly finish to my shave, I keep a 1/2 liter bottle of water in the 'fridge. As you can see, I use it to follow the "cold" water rinse I get from the tap. Love it :smiley freezing:

Schick J1 Injector with Schick blade (2)
    Omega 20102 Pro Boar Brush,
    C.O. Bigelow shaving cream,
topped off with cold water, Witch Hazel and Gillette Cool Wave!

Cold water two pass+ for a really smooth comfortable DFS!

I LOVE the Schick J1 Injector. I felt drawn to this smooth operator for a luxury two pass. I like its mildness, but I still get a DFS after two passes and touch up.

    Aces!

    Last night's shave:

Prep: hot shower, TBS Tea Tree face wash, Alba Botanical Face Scrub.
    Brush: TGN Grade A.
Razor/s: W&B 4/8" straight. Gillette Aluminum Ball End Tech to clean up.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Soap: Tabac.
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS, Axe Cooling AS Gel.

I feel like I'm getting more proficient with my straight. There is still one area on my neck where the stubble grows in a direction where I can't shave. I still got a smooth shave and love the straight.

    Thursdays shave.

Having recieved my new Haslinger Marigold soap today, I had to try it out. Heard many good things on the properties of the herb/flower (ohpaos I'm looking at you... :D ).

Prep: Scrubbed face with Nivea Mens Sensitive face wash. Quick soak in damp cloth.
    Brush: Semogue 1520 boar.
Lather: Haslinger Marigold whipped up in my Korium lather bowl, according to theme week :)
Weapon: Mühle R89 with Shark SS (2)
Post: Cold water and alum block, finished off with Nivea Mens Sensitive balm.
Result: DFS. But I keep fighting with my chin/jawline... No sting though so I'm getting there.. I guess.

What do I think of the soap then... lathers easy - more easy than my daily driver, the Haslinger Ewe Milk. Not quite as moisturizing, but I believe the same protection to the blade is there. Feels great to the skin. Lovely scent, very "flowery", reminded my of my grandmothers bathroom from when I was a kid - and that's positive. I like it very much, but I don't think it's one I'll stock up on - the Ewe Milk is still in front (and already stocked up). Next order form Shavemac will be the rest of the Haslinger lineup - I have to try'em all!

    Cream: TOBS grapefruit
Razor: '71 Gillette Superadjustable (2 passes on 2)
    Blade: Shark (3rd & done)
Post: Pinaud's Bay Rum, Body Shop Maca Root ASB

I went back to 2 on the Black Beauty, because yesterday's shave was a little too close on 3. I totally could've gotten by without shaving today, and since that's no fun I'm back to 2. I also got a good lather out of the TOBS today, by using just a little more water than usual, and had a smooth, comfortable shave. The Shark blades seem fine, no problems at all so far, but for some reason or another they don't feel as satisfying as the Astra SPs did. I've also settled on the Maca Root Razor Relief as my ASB of choice, after comparing it with a lot of other samples. The other contender was the Lush Imperialis, but at more than 3 times the cost I went with the Body Shop offering, and after SWMBO's contributions to the shopping basket the Maca Root cost $7.
