This is an old post, but i figured i would bring some life back in to it for the sakes of discussion. As a newbie working my way through my sample pack, I tried blue bird for the first time. Not BBS, but no cuts and no irritation. It may be my technique improving, but I really liked the shave. Before today, I didn't shave for three days. My shave before this one was horrible with an Astra SP just past it's useful life.

I'll see tomorrow if the shave was a result of my skin healing or if I can repeat my success with the BB.

Sounds like the Bluebird blades are working for you. Don't worry about the BBS at first, it is more important to get a comfortable, nick and cut-free shave than a smooth shave. There will always be time to work towards a BBS shave later on.

Good luck in your shaving odyssey!
