Today was my first experience with Speick soap. I'm like almost everyone else in that I cannot pinpoint its exact scent. I detect herbal, but still a warming spice accord. It is, however, super light and super manly. I feels its almost more of a fall and winter time lather, but it still produces a great soap lather. I am absolutely in love with Astra SP's. I scooped up 100, they were delivered for less than $15. Great deal, make it a great Friday.

The Boheme SC and the VIBR makes a great combo. With the hot weather of the last few days, the VIBR makes me feel like I'm on a tropical island! Great shave today with the Cadet OC; love it!

I always get the impression of lavender. But not six string folk song lavender. It's like German heavy metal lavender.

    Friday
Gillette Fusion (On my skull only)
    Mergress @ 3 & 2
    Shark Super Chrome
    Simpson Duke 2 Best
    Geo F Trumper Limes SC
    Old Spice Classic A/S

I keep browsing around at other razors and of course some vintage Gillettes but I'm really hesitant to use anything other than my Mergress. It's just flawless in almost every setting and is super attractive.

It took a number of shaves before my 830 'settled down' a bit and bloomed. A bit scritchy at first, but softened nicely after several shaves. It performs much better now after the break-in period, develops wonderful lather, and feels great on my face.

Nice bloom! Your brush and mine are like 'before and after' pics. I think I'm going to like it. Nice and stiff and seems to have a tremendous capacity. The heft is great and I love the handle.

I only have the Ginger's Garden Ice Mint soap - that scent is absolutely magnificent. It's so minty and fresh, and the lather explodes immediately. The cooling effect is really strong, and the skincare is great. Irena is a soap genious! :smiley respect:

Friday, morning & evening shave (for a concert)
    • Prep: hot washing cloth
    • Music: Philip Glass, Heroes
    • Brush: Omega travel boar
    • Cream: The Strop Shoppe- Rosemary Mint
    • Razor: Star 1912 / Gillette Aristocrat Junior
    • Blade: Star / Personna Red
    • Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
    • Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse, hand strop blade
Two nice shaves. The evening shave I started with the Star, but the blade had reached its end. Therefore I switched to the Gillette for a nice BBS.

That leads to today's shave: none! - Still smooth...

Sk16_9.jpg emofresh.jpg svobodako-vitamin_f-aftershave-balm.jpg EB005320523.jpg I must have changed my mind a dozen times before I decided on my choice of cream for:

    Saturday:

L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    #6 Horsehair
    Super Speed/7 AM day 6
Lord Emofresh SC :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Svoboda AS Balsam :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Max Refreshing AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Chabrawichi 555 Cologne

That's the problem when you have such a GIGANTIC stash of creams, soaps, etc - it can be so difficult to make a decision of what to use. The Lord cream is fantastic in every way - the lather is so rich, the scent is very nice, and it's actually more cooling than I thought. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's made in Egypt like the Lord razors and blades. The Svoboda balsam works like medicine to cool and soothe my sensitive skin, and the Max Refreshing aftershave from Bulgaria not only smells great, it's a powerful face-freezer. I'm as BBS as anyone can want to be. ;) :D
