6/8 Ern D.R. Harris Eucalyptus SC 22mm TGN Finest fan Getting a set of scales made for this blade turned into a regular Bozo's Circus adventure. They're still not 100% complete but close enough for a morning shave. I dulled the blade and rehoned it last night, very nice edge and good shave. The scales are made of G10 and it's tough stuff but easy to work with. If a person want to make a set of scales that will last a lifetime, this is probably it. Have a good one.
Saturday Hydro-magic with Schick blade (6) Preshave - Coral Skin Food Soap - MWF Brush - Omega Mighty Midget (Badger and Boar) Face Lather 3 pass shave Cold Water Rinse Lab Series Aftershave Spray A little burning on my cheeks after the shave, but no red. Might be due to 6 shaves with the same blade in the Hydro-magic. I guess I'll see tomorrow since I plan on using the Hydro-magic to finish Injector Week.

SUPER Saturday Prep: the usual piping-hot cloth for a few minutes Pre-Shave: Homemade PSO - highly recommended! Brush: Omega Pro 48 boar - big and a bit moppy at times, but does the job! Soap: Mike's Natural Coconut Shaving Soap - great scent! Razor: Merkur 38c HD Barber Pole - a big, handful of a DE razor. Love the size! Blade: Astra SP Shave: 3-pass, with touch-up on 'trouble' spots Post: Cold water rinse, towel dry, slap on some 4771 aftershave & then sooth with the Pre de Provence balm. Post-Post: Wife loves the feel of my face and the subtle scent (sage) of the balm. Good start of the day! A nice, smooth shave with no nicks nor irritation. I've some Feather blades on hand that I'm tempted to try, but I think I'll wait for when I have several day's growth to mow through. I'd like to see how they compare to the Astras I've been using.

My shave the other day was with my type A-injector, cade soap and Aluminium rubberset with boar knot. Todays shave was my first shave with the 1955 super speed, Ive had this razor for the best part of a year now and only just shaved with it lol, (with moving house 10 months ago, decorating etc etc.... and its so clean looking with case, its in my display cabinet so it kinda gets fogoten about. Hot shower Gillette Super speed flair tip 1955 Old spice mug with vintage old spice soap Aluminium rubberset brush with boar knot Astra SP Blade (D-3) BBS was really impressed with the super speed even with a day 3 blade. fantastic shave. I have tried SS before but they never seemed this good.
It is a late version of the Krona with more plastic in the body and even the base plate. These were heavily copied in the U.S.S.R. under the name ISKRA. These were made in the early 1970s when Schick was trying to reduce costs on razors due to the market switching to the Trac II and other two blade cartridge systems. It is more aggressive in my opinion than the earlier Krona model.
Had a pretty awful shave last night. A lot of weepers and irritation. Maybe its my medication I'm on, I'm kinda inflamed skin wise anyhow. Usually I get terrific shave from Williams and vdh. Or maybe my face didn't like the supermax platinum blade in the tech, I dunno.
