Great shave this morning thanks to Weeper Warrior! I received the barbecue flavored shave cream from Weeper yesterday, and gave it a go this morning. It definitely smells like authentic smoky barbecue. It took a little getting used to the scent while I was face lathering, but it went well, and strangely enough, I really like the scent. Thanks again Weeper! 3 pass BBS shave with my slant.

In other news, the Lady did her job and provided an awesome shave. I am loving this badger that Jeff reknotted for me, I still say this is his best one yet. Luckily, I have and use most of them! Make it a great Tuesday!

PRE: Hot Towel + MR GLO Soap + Am Crew PSO BRUSH: Omega 636 SOAP: MWF RAZOR: Merkur 38C BLADE: Astra SP POST: Alum + Lucky Tiger ASL Day 2 of face lathering for "Novelty Week". I'm starting to like it...Uh oh! First time using MWF. I have to say I am impressed and it lives up to its cult following. I loaded the brush once at the beginning and did 3 passes + touch up (due to a dying blade) and had plenty of lather! I could almost hear the MWF saying "Go ahead, name a cream...I'll out-lather it!" Anyway...great shave after a tough workout, now off to SBUX to do some reading. Enjoy the rest of the day all!
Which cream was it you tried with the Tabac? I have it and several TOBS, but not sure if any of mine would work so well...Maybe Sandalwood?
Not sandalwood. I believe it's the TOBS 'basic' scent. I got a chuckle from the description,"...This crisp and spicy fragrance in which Tarragon, Lavendar and Incense combine with hints of Green Galbanum and Citrus for an elegant manly scent and a warm, woody dry down with traces of Cedar, Sandal, Patchouli and Musk..." Whatever it smells like (sounds like it smells like everything under the sun), it certainly paired well with Tabac, at least to my nose.

Thx for the info...I was just curious as I am a superlather fan! Yeah, I hear ya...anything that could pick out all those scents is probably not human...
Haven't shaved for a week, so today I figured it was time. Prep: trimmed down my whiskers with a trimmer, hot shower, TBS Maca Root Face Wash. Razor: '62 Gillette Slim set to 7 for the first pass, 4 for the second. Blade: Personna Med Prep. Cream: TBS Maca Root (first time use.) Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS. This shave was pretty good. I didn't have a brush, but I was told that TBS works great without one... they were right. I found that it didn't need much water, which really surprised me. It was slick, had good blade glide, and had good cushion too. I will give a more detailed review here in a few. The Personna Med Prep/Lab blade is my favorite blade out of all the ones I have tried. I will try a Polsiver SI in my Slim, but I am happy with my choice. I used to think the Slim wasn't for me, but I think I just didn't use it on the right setting for me. I start out aggressive, then move down. The Barbon AS is my favorite AS too. I use that more than anything else. It is very cooling and is very toning and soothing on the skin. I suggest you get some and try it out.

I will admit I was marginally surprised to see you weren't pairing your TOBS aftershave with the same TOBS soap. Don't care for it, or just switching things up, or "other?"
