    Old Spice Champion Body Spray

I've never used a body spray before, and I don't think I will again. I've wanted to try the classic Champion, and thought this might do. It doesn't.

    Good shave though.

Good shave! W&B chopper is a great razor, my staple favorite and my first straight. Thank you, Jeff "stingraysrock" for trading me that razor and thank you, Glen, for restoring it back to life!

Thank goodness I have the Proraso White soap and the Svoboda balsam because this morning my skin felt like it needed some extra care. After this fantastic shave, my face felt so cool and soothed as well as protected against dryness. The Floid Classic aftershave is awesome stuff also. ;) :D

This is probably my favorite razor. It's an American hardware company straight that's probably made in Germany though it's not marked. I finished the edge on a Celebrated Razor Hone (a German natural stone) and had a very smooth comfortable shave this morning. Actually, it's was about as good as a shave can get. Have a good one.

Been a little busy lately, so I haven't had time for pics.

I did want to mention that I am on day 3 with a Polsilver SI and it shows no sign of fading. Great blade! Usually, I am ready to toss any blade after 3 shaves. The tugging starts, razor burn, etc. Not this time.

    The usual suspects

    Fatboy
    Omega 48
    Proraso green
    Alum block
    Thayer's witch hazel
    Nivea ASB
    Aqua Velva musk

    What changed:
    Polsilver Super Iridium

    Smoooooooooth shave!

I finished work early today (first time in months) and decided to treat myself to a long hot shower and a slow and steady shave just for relaxation. And it worked like a charm. The Palmolive/Moos combo is great and refreshing and the peppermint oil just gives it a bit of a cool. A splash of Pitralon Classic just added to the cooling sensation :)

Have a nice day boys and gals ;)

    5. Razor: my 'reclaimed' Gillette New Bar Handle (see here: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/new-life-for-an-old-new-razor.33550/
    6. Blade: Astra SP
    7. Shave: Three passes & touch-up
    8. Post: Pinaud Clubman & Pre de Provence balm

Very impressed by this old New razor! My first open-comb type, it really felt good in my hand and, more importantly, on my face! Lighter than most of my other razors, it cut cleanly & moved smoothly. Nice.
No nicks, weepers, nor irritation. Not bad for a first-go with an 80-year old resurrected razor. The combo of the slick Lucky tiger & pre-shave oil, with the luxurious lather I'm certain helped ensure a good shave. I may stick with razor a while...:)

Prep: Hot shower, face wash with 365 French-milled Glycerine soap (Unscented)
Pre-Shave: American Crew Pre-shave Oil, Under a hot towel for 60s
    Brush: Colonel Conk Pure Badger
    Razor: 1954 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless
Cream: Taylor of Old Bond Street, Eaton College
Shave: N-S, XTG, Reverse XTG, Blade Buffing Trouble Spots
Post-Shave: Hot rinse, Cold Rinse, Witch Hazel

About six-months in to wet-shaving, I have pretty much settled in to this as the daily routine. It seems to suit my schedule well, and I am getting more and more consistent. Getting a DFS most days, and really enjoying it. Might try some new creams, oils, soaps from time to time, but I am really enjoying this set-up!
