Wednesday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/7 AM day 3 Godrej Menthol Mist SC Visal AS Gel Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash Grey Flannel EDT Da Big Freeze this morning, and it felt sooooooo good. Between the L'Oreal Men Expert facial wash, Godrej Menthol Mist cream, Visal gel, and the Penguin, it'll take a whole day for my face to thaw out. This shave was mega-BBS. The 7 AM blade is still as sharp as ever so it should last all week.

Omega 31025 Boar Energy soap Face lather Merkur Futur Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge 3 passes TSD Energy After Shave Lotion Awesome shave! The TSD Energy is a phenomenal scent! I really like the Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge Blades. It really is too bad they are not sold in drug stores, grocery stores and the big box discount stores. I remember my grandfather saying to my grandmother, "Can you pick me up two packs of Gillette Spoilers?" Those were the days (sigh)

A fantastic shave with the E2 Injector today! I used a NOS Schick (platinum treated edges) from Glenn, and it was smooth as butter! Thanks Glenn!
HumpDay "Delicate" Shave today to allow tender spots to heal 1) Shower, Lucky Tiger & hot towel 2) Pre-shave Oil; massaged well into skin 3) Soap: Combo of Tabac, Mike's Natural & liquid glycerin = slick, dense lather 4) Brush: Soft brush...WD 30mm Silvertip 5) Razor: Big Boy, but gentle— Merkur 38c HD Barber Pole 6) Shave: Two easy passes; some touch-up avoiding tender spots 7) Post: Cold water rinse; Pinaud Clubman (less burn than my other AFs), Nivea Balm Face feels great. No sting, no burn..just soothing coolness from the balm. Not a bad shave at all. The Big Merkur I find very forgiving, despite it's heft & intimidating look. It's also step up in size from the previous 2 days where I used an Adjustable Fat Boy & Slim. The handle is a bit more slippery to hold when wet compared to the knurled handles of the Gillette(s).
Wednesday Washed with TSD unscented soap Lathered TSD unscented soap with 3 drops of glycerin HIS synthetic brush Schick injector L Schick blade Cold rinse CeraVe lotion Today I added three drops of glycerine onto the soap before loading up my brush. I lathered on my face as usual and got a good lather. Yesterday when I added two drops I was delighted with the difference. Maybe two drops works with this soap and my routine and any more doesn't help. I'll repeat with two drops tomorrow. My face felt good afterward. The shave went well, three passes without irritation. No repeat of yesterday's careless nick.
How would you describe the scent of the Energy? Floral? Woodsy? Grassy? Manly? Girly? Ethereal? Bodacious?

Wednesday, June 19, 2013 Proraso tub, Simpson Case, SuperMax Sunrise (3), Fatboy (2 on 2), Pinaud's Bay Rum The tubbed Proraso is quite different from the tubes of CO Bigelow that I'm used to. It was harder for me to bowl-lather, and for my second pass I reloaded the brush and face-lathered. It also seemed to have more menthol effect. I like the results from creams better, I'm finding, so this new tub of Proraso might sit in a drawer for a little while. I'm also happy to be back with the Sunrise blade: it felt great and smooth as silk on today's 3rd use, and I'm going to leave it in place for my next shave. I've been leaving the blade in my razor, soaking in alcohol between uses. The Case brush felt tiny after using my new Chubby for the past several days, but still very enjoyable, and I like having both in my stable.

PRE: Hot Towel + MR GLO SOAP + Am. Crew PSO BRUSH: WD 30mm CREAM: Irisch Moos RAZOR: Merkur 38C BLADE: Gillette Silver Blue (5) POST: Alum + Aqua Velva Musk (Crystallized) Just got the WD in the mail from Weeper Warrior...Yep, definitely too big for my face! Good thing I got it for SWMBO. You know, I had to try it out first though...Holds much more cream/water than anything I have used before and a densely packed knot, decent backbone and soft tips. Pretty sure she will love it! The Moos, Musk combo works pretty well. I did tweak the musk a little though. It seems that every non-mentholated, inexpensive after shave I get I have to add some menthol crystals (much better now). The Silver Blue is going strong on day 5! Have a great evening all!
Hey all! It's been a very long time since my last post. I just wanted to check in and say hi and see how everybody has been. Just tried the proraso red tub of soap it is just like every product proraso makes, outstanding! My day to day shave hasnt changed much. Evening pre work shave. Hot shower Omega badger Feather AS-D1 razor with Feather blade Proraso RED soap face lathered 3 pass shave cold water rinse Now normally I dont use aftershave of any kind anymore. I just stop with the cold water rinse but tonight i decided to add Aqua-velva ice sport Proraso pre/post shave. The red doesnt have menthol in it so I wanted a little extra coolness added to the red. Overall an A+ DFS.
I guess I'm just blessed to have a fat face as I love the size & feel of that 30mm brush! Ultra soft & holds a ton of lather. Perhaps if I didn't have a 'stache, the size would be more of an issue lathering my upper lip. ohhh...Yeah!
