A provincial holiday here in Quebec called Saint Jean-Baptiste Day so I have a day off from work. Let's see, what will I use for tomorrow? Menthol Monday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/new Shark Gada Cool Mint SC Gillette Intense Cooling AS Balsam Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Givenchy Gentleman EDT A pretty frigid set-up for tomorrow beginning with the L'Oreal Men Expert face wash which has a nice cooling effect which is stronger than the Axe Chilled one. The Gada Cool Mint cream has a LOT of menthol power in it and great lather and skincare and it smells minty/lemony. The Gillette Intense Cooling stuff and Aqua Velva are really icy and enjoyable.
Monday small hours Just restored, rescaled and honed this razor. I nearly passed it by in the shop as I have never really been a fan of wedges. Well I am so pleased I didn't the shave was superb, effortless silent efficiency. The Kent Infinity formed an excellent partnership with the Tabac stick and the shave was finished off with an alum rub and a splash of Tabac ASL.

Monday Hot shower Chubbz Derby soap R-41 Med Prep (3) Cold water rag Barbasol Pacific Rush Two pass DFS+++ I sniffed the Barbasol at the dollar store a couple years ago and did not like it. I was at the dollar store again a few days ago buying a one dollar pair of shower shoes and impulse purchased the Barbasol and a pack of blades. The Barbasol agrees with me more now, plus it has a bit o' menthol for Menthol Monday.
Hart 22mm boar Tabula Rasa Homebrew Stephan Bay Rum Extremely close shave but I was a little heavy handed so it wasn't exactly a good shave. The Hart is a big heavy razor and............... it's all excuses for poor technique. Have a good one.

Couple days before leaving...Back to back ministry trips in the Midwest then to Ukraine! Fully partook of Menthol Monday today...This combination was icy for sure! The Silver Blue actually made it through day 7...Was smooth the first two passes, then not quite so much on the 3rd pass ATG. However, this blade has passed the Astra SP for me. Again, for me...it seemed sharper and smoother than the Astra and lasted just as long! A great blade to be sure.

SOTD Monday 6-24-2013 Cadet OC TP-02B Polsilver SI Blade Klar Kabinett SS (Thanks Dale) GT G4 Scuttle Semogue 820 Boar Dickinson's Witch Hazel Nivea Replenishing ASB Rose of Bulgaria ASL I love this Cadet OC; it's my kind of razor! The Klar Kabinett SS is excellent but I am having a hard time ordering some. Every time I look, it's "Out of Stock". I have put my name on the waiting list so I'm hoping it becomes available soon. I matched it up with the Rose of Bulgaria ASL and it pairs well. I skipped the Menthol Monday thing as the rain has really cooled down the temps here in Oregon. The cool air and scent of nitrogen in the rain is very refreshing!

Monday Wash Honeybee unscented soap Leather Mystic Water unscented soap 2 drops of glycerin HIS synthetic brush Vintage Bakelite slant Gillette silver blue blade (4) CeraVe lotion First time trying glycerin with Mystic water soap. I got a good lather, but I don't think it was any better than the soap by itself. Interesting that glycerin makes an improvement with some soaps, but not others. This was day 4 on the Gillette silver blue blade, and it was feeling a little rough. It will go to the blade bank after this outing. Three passes, nice smooth face for Monday morning. Cool misty day in Seattle.
