This is a great place to pick up info on technique, tool,soaps etc...Questions(even ones that have been asked many times before) are welcome and encouraged,that how we all learn..... I shaved (required by my job) with a Trac2 every other day for over 30 miserable razor burn filled years...I had to shave at night so my face would heal at least some before work in the morning...I couldn't wait to retire just so I wouldn't have to shave "EVER" again!!! Right before I retired I discovered "traditional" shaving and TSD..Well, I'm retired now and for the last 2 years(it took about a month or so to get everything down [prep,technique,lather] and since then it's just kept on getting better and better ) I've shaved every single "morning" with virtualy "NO" razor burn,irritation,nicks or cuts...Shaving has gone from a "MISERABLE" necessity to a "WONDERFUL" hobby..... Time,Technique,Practice and Patience will get you to the "BEST" shaves of your life!!!
Hey everybody! Want to thank you again for the warm welcome. I'm also very excited because after taking a lot of the advice given (slowing down and shorter strokes exc…) and letting my face heal a bit, this morning was my best shave yet!!cant wait till tomorrow!
Well I thought Id left a post yesterday morning but I guess I got in too big of a hurry and forgot to confirm it…..oh well. So yesterday was something so awesome I still can’t believe it. I took my time and some of your guy’s advice (let my face heal from my last failure) and wow!! I went from looking like I had my throat slit to realizing that I will never use a cartage razor again and not just because of the cost!! And again this morning …AWESOME!! Well not awesome (had a little too much coffee, shaky hands) but anyways I LOVE this!!!!!!
