Dell day 2.... Ugh. I received a call asking for someone that has not worked here in 7 years. Explained that I am the contact person and he said thank you and hung up on me. He then called my cell phone, where I explained that I am the contact person. He said thank you and told me that I would be receiving a call within 24 hours. I got two calls to let me know that I will be getting a call... Meanwhile, I still have a DOA laptop...
With efficient efficiency like that, he must have been the supervisor of the department of redundancy department.
Not surprising, Dell hasn't had good customer service for quite some time. It's shame really, considering they used to be a halfway decent computer company.
well, I thought I'd give you all a little follow-up on my "short 90 minute presentation." After a passable breakfast at Denny's, we headed off to arrive early at our meeting, because "you get the better reps that way." You know what, I'll just give you the TL;DR: version. I said no to everything they offered, told them I wasn't prepared to pay more than $27 a month, and that I'd really just like to get my free gifts and go... got all the prizes we were promised... Total time? 3 hours (not entirely unexpected) It was funny, they seemed genuinely surprised that we were down for so many gifts. I guess I cajoled more out of our recruiter than they usually have to pay to get someone to come. Anyway, it was a day of mostly pleasant conversation, got a tour of a pretty decent condo/resort, and made about $160 to boot! Can't complain too much. It was pretty entertaining talking to the other smart people and compare notes.
MdC? Is that the trade name for brain bleach? If you think that one's bad, there's worse. And it's been posted in this thread before and not only by me.
Shows how much time I've had lately to peek around. Which reminds me, since I've missed too many lately: WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEW MEMBERS!
