Monday-Friday Razor: Gillette Slim '64 @ 9 Blade: Shark SS (1-5) Brush: Horse hair #6 Cream: Arko Ice Mint/Aspic Ice Rain/Gada Cool Mint/SuperMax Lemon/Top Ten Sensitive AS: Barbon/Figaro/Top Ten Sensitive Busy week, but great shave every morning!
Friday Used my Wilkinson Bonded with a new blade. A nice shave, similar to an injector, but I prefer the weight of the injector. This will be the razor I put in my carry-on for business trips. I like it better than the multiblade cartridge razors.
Friday, July 26, 2013 Chubby 2, Black Beauty, SuperMax Sunrise, Speick everything Great shave after a couple days growth. The 'Beauty on 5 mowed it all down in 3 easy passes, and the Sssshpike products performed beautifully as always. This is pretty much my favorite combo. Have a great weekend!
Thank you. The Oglalalla Bay Rum has a subtle, spicey fragrance that fades rather quickly. The scent lingers with you all day, but not overpowering or intrusive. My wife and sons all like the fragrance. The alcohol provides a pleasant 'sting' post-shave, but is milder than many traditional aftershaves. Feels very nice on the face and, unlike many aftershaves, doesnt dry out the skin. Be sure to shake it well before applying! Many online retailers such as Amazon carry it as well as many of the shave-supply sites.

Back in 1971 or 72 I got one of those razors. At the time I shaved with a Schick injector. Unknown to me, I loaded a cartridge where the blade was "crooked" and it took a hunk out of the side of my face. I went back to the injectors. Be sure to visually inspect those cartridges before using them. Just saying...
Friday 07/26 Hot shower to start the day. Fliods pre-shave oil Mem Olive (sample from my goodies box) Vulfix 28 Gillette OC Gillette 7 o'clock black Tiger Cade A superior DFS from three passes. Everyone have a great weekend.
Thanks Brad. It's actually a mixing bowl or mug thingie I got on the Bay. Really nice as a SS mug for loading the brush. I then transfer the loaded brush to the GT Scuttle to get the lather all nice and warm.
Friday HOT water whisker rinse-2 min. Arko Shave Stick/Omega 10029 1938 Gillette Senator OC TTO Rapira SS d1 Old Spice AS For the last few months I've been pretty much SE exclusive....But the last 3 days this lovely Senator from 'Dixie' has been providing decadent shaving pleasures that renew my faith in DE's...although there is nothing ordinary about this razor....even Jack Dempsey said she was a 'Knock-Out'!!!
July 26, 2013 Friday evening shave Prep: Hot water rinse/Somerset's pre-shave oil Brush: Restored Made Rite Finest Badger Cream/Soap: Queen Charlotte's Iced Key Lime Razor: 1959 Gillette Fat Boy (7,5,3) Blade: Vintage Gillette Thin (NOS) new Three pass shave WTG, ATG, XTG for touch ups Post: Rinse and Ice cube rub Aftershave: Myrsol formula F Extra Inaugural run for the brand new (to me) 59' Fat Boy. In retrospect, I should have used a modern blade instead of the NOS Gillette Thin. Decent shave but the blade pulled a little here and there and I had numerous touch ups to do, more than normal. I tossed the blade and will move on. Love the new Fat Boy however. Frank
Proraso pre WM Neumann's Bay Rum Soap Semogue 1800 Boar Merkur 33c Head / UFO TiTan Gillette Silver Blue Thayer's Original Krampert's Finest Bay Rum Guerlain Vetiver EDT Love the Bay Rum plus Vetiver combo. Earthy, dirty, rustic smell.
I did a super lather of Kell's Original Ultra Aloe Juniper Sage and Karo Classic. I did a face lather with my new Every Man Jack synthetic brush and got an amazingly creamy, thick lather with a nice juniper heavy scent. I did a three pass wtg/atg/xtg shave followed by a cold water rinse and an application of SAL Alum. Yet another BBS shave from my RiMei and a Croma Diamant blade. I'm really liking all of these spiffy Tech and Tech-like razors. Pre: Hot shower and warm water splash Razor: RiMei Blade: Croma Diamant Brush: Every Man Jack synthetic Soap: Superlather of Kell's Original Ultra Aloe Juniper Sage and Karo Classic Post: Cold water rinse and SAL Alum
Similar situation with my Semogue: began rather coarse & stiff, but bloomed to an enjoyable softness on the tips. Really developed into a great brush! ...and Pre de Provence is da' bomb! Still my favorite post-shave finale, with the Nivea coming in second.
