Gillette 1956 Serial Toggle #1339

  1. Wish it was Fishy but more sad if anything, but he was on business and then was called to service. He then was Military based in Germany for 5 years and moved to another military base and then thats when it was lost. Sorry if right away a" fish" comes into play, but that how people can get. Just was glad to see Glenn found what he was looking for. Congrats..

Congratulations on acquiring this very rare serial numbered Toggle set GlennConti! I did have this one on my watch list but it went beyond what I was willing to pay for this rare beauty. Nonetheless, I'm glad it's going to a good home!

  8. Nice piece, unfortunately the set had missing parts.... I did not join the fight because instructions , head cap , and the most important the leather holder were missing , with this kind of "holster" $1200 is 1400 is a good price, when the most wanted part is not present , I pass on .... (but it's my choice, I run only for complete , zero flaws or missing parts sets ...)
Even if the holster is missing this is a great addition to your collection ....

The same with holster was sold $1200 by razor emporium .... some time ago & I missed it ....

5/ 6 are coming up for auction every year....

I think the leather holder is this (with which it comes). Am I mistaken? Agreed it is missing the plastic cap, instructions and warranty card. I have arranged to replace the blades already.

I believe that in addition to a holster it has a leather box too??

I received it today. It did come with a holster and leather box. Here it is:

The razor and holster are in excellent shape. The leather box is very good too except for the unraveled stitching and partially ripped piece near the snap.

Thanks guys. Now this is going to have to be it for a while. I must avert my eyes from ebay. I won't even open up the window in my browser. LOL. (Just PM me if you see a 1-5 Bottom Dial for sale though :) )
