I decided to go with part of my man Veli's set-up from yesterday - the Lord Emofresh cream and the Barbon aftershave. This Egyptian-made cream smells beautiful and lathers like a maniac and gives great skincare. I wish the menthol effect was stronger, but I can forgive that because the Svoboda balsam and Barbon froze my face real good. The L'Oreal Men expert facial wash felt even colder than usual after my shave and I left in on my face while I was brushing my teeth, then I rinsed it off with cold water. This shave was BBS and so comfortable. ;) :D

Nice shave, good skin care. I just received a couple of pucks of Ogallala and gave one to a friend of mine at work. I'm kinda regretting that now, lol.
    Have a good one.

That's a homemade scuttle. The best way I can think to duplicate it is to go to Marshalls, a thrift store or one of your favorites and look for a soup or oversized mug. Take it and go to Petco, Pet smart, or a thrift shop and look for a bird food dish that will fit inside mug comfortably. You want the rim of the bowl to fit the edge of the mug.

First trial of a Supermax titanium blade (thanks to Jaberwock for the trade). Three passes, satisfactory results. First impression, good enough blade, not as sharp as I would like.

    Good shave, though! :)

Well today was the inaugural shave with my homemade Iced Arko shaving soap. I just made the soap this morning. If you are interested, I listed the instructions in a post on the Shaving Soap forum. The soap is great and has a very powerful cooling effect!!

The Weber razor is new for me. I have to say that this razor instantly became one of my top 5 favorites. What a great razor! I couldn't get one sent to me here in Hong Kong so I had to wait until I was on vacation in Canada. The wait was well worth it as this is truly a superb shaving instrument. I will soon be selling my iKon S3S and my iKon OSS. I will be keeping my Titan though as it is also a fantastic shaver.

Three passes with the awesome Weber resulted in a very close and comfortable BBS shave. What a great start to the day!

    Cheers everyone, Lyndon

    a. PRE: Hot shower, hot towel, Proraso Menthol PreShave cream
    b. RAZOR: 1930 Gillette Goodwill Long-Comb
    c. BLADE: Astra SP (day 4— hand-strop)
    d. BRUSH: Semogue 830

    f. SHAVE: 3 passes (WTG, XTG, ATG) + touch up
    g. POST: Cold water wash & dry; Osage Rub ,

Using the Goodwill, I really had to work at it to get as close a shave as I was getting with the Merkurs. Spoiled by the 2-pass SLR shaves.
    Still nice results = DFS!

Awesome! I've got the little brother to this brush, the mixed badger/boar model. Also fantastic, but it does take a while to break it in - pretty rough before that, but smooth once your over the hump.

I'm continuing with the eShave Linden, which is a bit fickle. I had some difficulty getting the water/soap ratio right today and understood why I didn't like it at first. A little experimentation resulted in a good lather, not as good as yesterday, but still plenty usable.

My Hawk DBSR is in fine form, maneuvering in tight spots and gliding along with ease. A good thing, because the blade I am using is a bit harsh. I am using a modern Gillette Super Thin today. I have used the vintage version of this blade and liked it very much, but this new version may take a little while for me to figure out. They're plenty sharp and glide fairly well, but they are also a bit bitey. I'll try them in a few razors and with a few soaps before I pass final judgement, but as of right now they are presenting to me as a bit to harsh for regular use.

A 2 1/2 pass shave (wtg/atg/xtg on the neck only) and I managed a DFS with moderate irritation, but suitably smooth skin. I think I'll switch to PdP and the RiMei for tomorrow's shave. I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed by strongly scented soaps and aggressive shaves. The PdP and a gentle shave with the RiMei should do wonders for my outlook.

Pre: Hot shower and warm water splash
    Razor: Hawk DBSR
    Blade: Gillette Super Thin
    Brush: Every Man Jack Synthetic
