Wednesday morning: Merkur slant Feather Omega boar RazoRock Brainfreeze Green Aqua Velva The RR has only a mild cooling effect, and smells kinda like Vicks, but it is an excellent soap, cushiony, slick, easy to lather. Leaves my face feeling great. Green is definitely my favourite colour of AV.
Mine too, I have a lot of fun using it. It is also a good one to give away because it's cheap but very high quality.

Gillette NEW LC Walmart Wilkinson Sword Omega 80265 CO Bigelow Alum Superior 70 Since I have to be in work before 5am, took the shave tonight. First time using the Walmart Wilkie and it gave a great shave.
I have used the Walmart Wilkie's a lot Dale and they seem to be pretty good performers. I would say better than average; and they are available locally without ordering on line and paying shipping etc.
I might revisit the Walmart Wilkies. I used those for my first shave and they sucked. Maybe they'll be better since I actually know what I'm doing this time.
Wednesday, July 31, 2013 I used an alum block after my shave for the first time today, and liked it. I rubbed the block all over my wet face after my final pass, let it sit while I straightened up, and then rinsed again and applied AS. Good stuff.

Thursday! Tuesday & wednesday gave me two great Rolls Razor shaves. Prep: shower, hot washing cloth, lather marinade while stropping the str8 Music: Javier Navarrete, Pan's Labyrynth soundtrack Brush: Wilkinson sword badger Cream: DVH 1st pass razor (WTG): old brandless str8 (it says 'Solingen' on the blade & 'Feinster silberstahl' [finest silver steel] on the tang, otherwise brandless) 2nd & 3rd pass & touch-up: Rolls Razor Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse After purchasing a Belgian Blue whetstone last weekend I honed & stropped my old str8 yesterday. It popped the hairs on my forearm with no effort. Only a small 'ping!' with each hair that popped. This morning I tried it out. I started with Ggsixgun's shave test, but it failed. But since it felt good still, I decided to complete the pass with the str8. Just for the sake of practice. It felt a bit awkward, since I'm not used to handling a str8 of course. But I got no nicks or any problems. I did most of the shave north to south. Only the chin I did east-west. It felt good. Although the razor needs some more sharpening, I was pretty satisfied. The two following passes with the Rolls completed another excellent shave. I'll give the str8 some more honing & stropping today. Who knows what tomorow's shave might bring!
I had the pack sitting on my shelf for the better part of a year and just used it on a whim figuring I could pitch the rest of the pack if they weren't good. To my surprise, I had a fantastic shave. Not sure about the longevity etc yet, but it is nice being able to pick up decent blades locally.

13/16 Prior Barrister & Mann SS 23mm Omega knot Krampert's Bay Rum Nice shave. Long day yesterday, long day today. Have a good one. BTW, I really like these Omega boars, the loft is 23 mm @ 50mm for face lathering perfection. Well at least IMO, lol, YMMV.
Thursday: Sorry, no pics today. #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Shark day 4 Irisch Moos Shaving Stick L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Hega AS Chabrawichi 555 Cologne I think it's been almost a year since I last used my Irisch Moos stick and that's way too long. This is perhaps my favorite soap, but because it was discontinued I want to make it last as long as possible. It smells so nice and gives so much rich lather and I get a great shave every time with it. The Hega aftershave is from Sweden and very soothing with a rather neutral scent.
Thursday - another day closer. Are you ready? Prep: Hot shower, Dirigo Blue Cedarwood PSO Coffee: Maxwell House Breakfast Blend, BLACK CD: The Essence of Lightnin' Hopkins Soap: D.R. For me, darn near BBS. Finished up the last of the D.R. Harris. While a very good soap, don't know if I'll get more. Maybe if I need a little extra to justify shipping or get free shipping.
