SotN Martin de Candre (sample) 1916 Gillette Bulldog w/Treet (3) TGN Finest XH 22mm Humphreys Milk Lucky Tiger Well what can I say that hasn't already been said about the MdC. It lathers insanely well, is so slick that combined with my very very mild Bulldog, I could not feel the blade on my skin at all. MdC is by far the slickest soap I've ever used. I can see why it is so highly regarded. (MdC is not represented in this SotN pic because it is in an ugly plastic bowl that would not do the soap justice). Once again the TGN 2 Band Finest XH was incredible. At one point I thought my brush was actually a perpetual MdC dispenser! Crazy French Soap + Crazy Knot = Tons of Crazy Slick Frenchy Lather! Post shave with Humphrey's and Lucky tiger is like Mother Nature herself coming into my shave den and tending to my face. Very very fine shave.
Getting in some more night shifts this week, so a nice evening shave with fresh gear from Classicshaving! Prep: Hot shower with some conditioner in the stubble Pre: American Crew Pre-shave Oil Brush: Col. Conk Pur Badger Soap: Classic Brand Larg Cake- Sandlewood (New) Razor: 1954 Gillette Super Speed Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Super Stainless Shave: WTG, XTG, RXTG Post: Hot Rinse, Witch Hazel, Cold Rinse, MK Men Aftershave Gel Inspection: A Kiss from the bride! I hurried a little, so didn't do so great on the neck, but I love the way my face feels using the soap. After trying several creams over the last few months (some of which I really liked), I think I am just a soap guy. It's definitely more effort to lather, but my face feels amazing afterwards.

The SOC continues to prove to each session. Note 10 to this Balm which was offered as a sample by a friend in a purchase. This time I applied a little more quantity and then yes, showed all her charm. I'm seriously thinking about getting it. If someone has experienced it please post your impressions. Enjoy your day !
Thursday - SS week Proraso Sandalwood cream bowl lathered with TGN Super Silvertip '59 Blue tip with Astra SP blade (2) 3 passes and finish with Monsieur Musk aftershave The blue tip, cream and aftershave were from the Nationwide box I got yesterday. I haven't used any before. I loved the Proraso Sandalwood. The blue tip is a very mild shave, like others have reported.
Thursday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Shark day 4 Godrej Menthol Mist SC Anherb AS Conditioner Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Grey Flannel EDT Once again I did it - another wonderful face-freezing shave without any effort. My 50s Super Speed absolutely rules. It cleans me up so well and always delivers on the comfort day after day. The Godrej Menthol Mist cream felt so nice and frigid on my face, and the Anherb conditioner (also from India) and the AV made the end of the shave a chilly delight!

Thursday: Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, AoS Unscented PSO Brush: Beeline Boar Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Merkur (3) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG Post: Cold water splash, Alum, cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes I'm glad I used the extra prep of the Neutrogena scrub this morning in anticipation of the Merkur Super's third and final day. Three passes with no additional buffing or touch-ups produced a near-BBS shave, but MAN does my face burn. The alum pass made me wonder if I'd seen a palsied acupuncturist in my sleep, as it stung almost everywhere, despite only one visible weeper (at a point on my neck where the hair stops, indicating a sloppy hooking technique).

Thursday TSD wheat cream, unscented Mühle hjm black fiber synthetic brush Gillette fat handled Tech Gillette yellow blade CeraVe lotion Shave was very comfortable, but I decided to stop at two passes instead of my usual three. Result is very presentable, but I expect that my face will be very prickly tomorrow morning.

A wonderful smooth shave for Thursday. Arko is the gift that keeps on giving. The Chinese Schick blade adds to the luxury of the shave. Aces!
I just completed Day 4 with the Merkur Super & I haven't noticed any fall-off from the initial shave 4 days ago. I have been diligent about hand-stropping the blade after each use so I'm not certain this impacted the perceived longevity of this blade or not. I'll keep with it until I notice any discomfort or difficulty with it.

Thursday 08/08 Was up early this morning, hit the shower to start off the day. Fliods pre-shave oil prepped the face for today's shave. Next up in my brush line-up #28 Vulfix boar. Grabbed the RazoRock Fresco for today's shave soap. Razor and blade change today, picked out the Gillette Black Handle loaded with the urban legend Merkur blade. The Merkur blade performed near flawlessly, I would give the sharpness 4 out of five stars. Three pass shave plus a few touch-ups delivered a home run of a DFS. Finished up a splash Alt. Insburk
