A shave from Paradise this morning with a cream that I would go to the end of the earth to get again if only it was still available. Williams Menthol is magnificent in every way possible. The Diana Sport is the coldest balsam I ever found in all my life. Sorry, no photos today. (please forgive me!)

Spent a disproportionate amount of time Friday registering for a class at the local college, and didn't shave. The benefit of that, as many of us can attest, is that today's shave was BBS and smooth and easy as could be, with any nicks or weepers fully healed from a day off. I've officially run through one or more of every sample blade I have, and narrowed it down to 4 choices from them: Treet Platinum, Trig Super Silver, Bic Chrome Platinum, and Bolzano. In all probability, after a second round of testing with these "Final Four," I'll buy 100 of one of the three less expensive brands, and 50 of the Bolzano, switching back and forth on a 2 - 1 ratio for variety and a treat for my face.

Brewed my coffee in a French Press this morning; usually use my Krups drip coffee maker. Not bad, a little different, but not enough for me to give up the convenience of the drip.

Not a bad shave, either.

I enjoy a weekend FP, such as this morning's. The Technivorm gets the daily use during the week, but on Saturday & Sundays, the jumbo Bodum FP gets the workout. Slightly stronger and 'heartier' brew. Ahhh.....great start to the weekend!

30-minute, quiet leisurely shave...This DR Harris soap has a distinctly different scent (old ashtray?) that takes some getting used to.
DFS+—pretty darn close to a BBS, but I backed off...

I use the Aveeno on the red areas on my neck - I used carts for decades, so I think I might have scars there - it's almost always rough. I'm hoping that over time it will improve with my change to DE wet shaving.

• Post: Cold Water Rinse, double splash of aftershave

All around it was a good shave today, everything performed as I would expect it. The Parker is another one of those EJ looking heads that in my opinion perform better than DE89/R89, although the quality of plating and finish is lower.

The Mike's soap made a nice creamy lather, the kind that rolls down in a sheet from the razor as you go along. Three passes, nice smooth results. Off to a wedding.

Just got a batch of these blades in and wow are they sharp. That's all I will say until I use them some more.

As for the shave cream I bought this on a whim in the pharmacy haven't heard much about it but it lathers up real nice and the smell is not overpowering.
