Ahhh. Nice luxury shave to start the work week off. Finally picked up more of the Nivea PSB which I missed dearly. Used the AOS Lavender cream it leaves my skin feeling very moisturized and refreshed similar to the effect that VDH leaves. I'm beginning to think that Derby blades are becoming my go to blades. This is that you call BBS.

I'm taking my newly rehandled Schick Injector G for spin. I don't use the injectors much yet, so instead of a fresh blade I finagled the slightly used Schick blade out of my other injector and loaded it up into this razor.

I liked the way that the TBS Maca Root worked with the Pyrate Cove Coconut, so today I'm doing a superlather of Mama Bear Toasted Coconut and TBS Maca Root. I am feeling the synthetic brush bug lately, so the Muhle/TGN synthetic gets to come out and play.

I have no idea if the razor being at a different angle due to the longer handle is the issue, or if this G type head is some how less aggressive than my other G type, or if the semi-used blade is to blame, but this shave took four passes, wtg/atg/xtg/atg. The longer handle made the Schick much easier to use, but the results were way too mild. I did get a DFS with zero nicks and zero irritation, but I will need to work out the issues before I can be happy with the performance of this razor. I'll try a fresh blade next time and hope for a more aggressive shave. The Maca Root and Toasted Coconut produced a nice lather, but the scent of the Maca Root overwhelmed the Toasted Coconut...an unexpected result seeing as the Pyrate Cove Coconut is a milder scent and it blended so well with the Maca Root. Overall an OK shave with room for improvement.

Five drops of glycerin in the Williams Mug Shave Soap made for a thick slick lather. Shave six with the ASCO was as smooth as it gets. Again, I palm stropped the blade after the shave.​

Man oh man, I love this new Proraso Green cream so much - it lathers beautifully and feels so cold on my face. The Anherb conditioner is one of the best aftershave balsams you can find because of its cooling effect and terrific moisturizing. The Aqua Velva has been around for many years for a reason - it's top quality stuff. An excellent shave this morning.

Nice shave this morning. I received a new knot yesterday so I gave it a try this morning. It's in a temporary handle, one I had laying around, and the loft was @ 44mm. It's a very nice knot but I've been using some pretty good boars lately too. I'll make a new handle when I get some shop time but it'll probably be a while. Have a good one.

The Super Speed with the 7 O’Clock Blues seem to be a good match. I used the TOBS Avocado this morning. I pegged the scent today. It is not like Arko, but, it does have a citronella aroma to it (insert chuckle). It is still a nice refreshing scent. I lathered it in my new “oversize” blue Old Spice Mug. It gave me a great, thick, smooth lather using a mostly dry brush to start. I had a close, smooth shave. I did get a bit of razor burn from exerting a little too much pressure in a few spots. But when I finished with Krampert’s Bay Rum, all was right with the world again….at least until I step outside.

I only did a single pass shave this morning to be presentable. The iKon Slant is due in today and I wanted to have extra stubble to do a single pass when I get home. It is going to be hard sitting at the office knowing that the razor is at home just waiting for me to shave with.

Needless to say I do not have anything resembling a close shave, but I smell good. Two days in a row with the Iced Violet Patchouli Aftershave, I just love this stuff.

Good morning gents. My friend had some proraso blue creme he got last week and I think it smells nice. Whoever coined it a "licorice" creme... I don't know about that. It's clean and fresh I think. Anyway ill tell you all about it once I have it. Take time to smell the roses and have a nice day.

Another lovely, irritation free shave with the Bic. The blade popped a tiny pimple on my upper lip, which bled and encouraged me to use the alum this morning, but otherwise, it's holding up beautifully so far.
