I have been wet shaving for about a month now, using a Fat Handle Tech that I picked up at a local antique store. I have been working on my technique and am decent with my current razer/blade/soap combo. I am definitely still trying new products though! A few days ago, I was browsing around another antique store in town and found a very clean Ball End Tech for $1! Needless to say I bought it! I loaded it with a Derby blade (my current favorite) and shaved with it before work today, and I love it! I was amazed at how much different it was than my Fat Handle. Now I must try more razors to see how they differ. Probably gonna start searching for an adjustable next...

Congrats on the new Ball End Tech; that was a steal.

Just remember, it's only an addiction if you go to the meetings. :happy102:

:happy096:Nice score on the Ball End...You "ABSOLUTELY" must aquire and try "MORE" razors!! There is "no such thing" as too many razors :happy108:.. You can never really "know" how a razor works for you until you try it.. The Gillette "Slim" is a very nice and still affordable on ebay adjustable...:)

I will definitely be aquiring more razors! (Along with soaps, blades, brushes, creams, etc...). I am already obsessed with finding more and starting a collection. One of my coworkers brought in a Fatboy yesterday that he picked up for $5

hmmm. I love my ball end tech... I use it regularly. i started off with a "cheap starter razor" (lord l6 on amazon.com) then lucked into an estate sale auction where I got a near mint aristocrat from 48 in its case, a fatboy from 61, in its case, a ball end, and a tto from the 70's that I havent tried yet. I use the ball end the most, followed by the aristocrat, then the fatboy. I figure ill keep getting better at wet shaving, and enjoy the Aristocrat and fatboy more lol.

I went back to the same antique store where I bought the Ball End, and got a Gem Featherweight and a Gem Micromatic Clog-Pruf for $1 each! Now I just need to order some stainless steel blades for them. I tried them with CVS brand blades, and the rust too quickly. I am only getting 1 or 2 shaves out of them, but they are great shaves!

First, congrats.......again!! As far as the rust issue, try soaking your razor in rubbing alcohol after you are done. That should help.
