I am currently on the Connaught Shaving website and there are two shaving creams from Turkey-Blix and Arko available in 5 different scents. I am considering a purchase, anyone of you guys use these before and recommend?
I have Arko Commando shave cream. It's cheap, it lathers like mad, and smells great. There is no bad there! Get some.
+ another...I have the Arko Sensitive cream I got from Rene and an Arko Shave stick from Bob....love them both....great lather as stated above...
ARKO and Blix by Fax are both from the same manufacturer http://www.evyap.com.tr/en/urunler/erkek/erkek_arko_01.asp I think that they are the same product. The Blix sensitive smells like the ARKO sensitive. All said above is also my opinion besides the scent of the Commando. Others think Blix are even better than ARKO. Jeff told me once that he thinks that Blix has a better skin care.
I also have the Arko Commando. It is definitely a great cream for the price. For the money, there's no reason NOT to try it
I was an Arko user for quite a while, and I enjoyed it a lot. Talking about Blix, I just received a tube of it yesterday--the Fresh version with menthol. I shaved with it just a few minutes ago, and it was fantastic. I really like this stuff, it's better than the Arko Moist counterpart.
If they don't work out for you, they make a wonderful pre-shave cream followed by a hot towel. I use Arko Sensitive or Citrus as a pre-shave cream.
Arko is good cream, but a few of their scents are a bit weird IMHO. I liked blix a touch more than the arko, as it seemed to moisturize better. Either is a steal for the price.
Blix fresh is excellent and it leaves tour skin very smooth. Nice light fragrance. Excellent shave cream. Five stars. Steve
yes, Blix Fresh seems like a slightly mentholated version of Euro Palmolive, just as Arko Moist seems, however: Blix Fresh gives MUCH more skincare, and even seems nicer smelling, at least to me.
I got a tube of BLIX two weeks ago from JoAnna and I love it! Very moisturizing, mild scent and great lather. I recommend it.
