Disposing of used double edged safety razor blades

I use an old pipe tobacco tin!

 

My new blade bank. This is the first blade going into it. It was my government shutdown blade. I started shaving with this Shark Super Chrome on October 1 and every day thereafter until the end of the shutdown, October 17. It was a good blade, but like the shutdown, it had to go.

 

Razor Blade Disposal

 

I have had the perfect blade bank all along and forgot I even had it.
A couple of Christmases ago, I received this tin containing three pairs of boxer shorts.
It was intended to be used as a coin bank, but the slot in the top is the perfect size for blades!
It will take me a long time to fill this one up.

 

I use an empty pill bottle and just toss it ounce its full. Easy and free.

 

I use the $1 disposable Feather blade bank and it works great.
Before that I used to use the empty mint containers.

 

I still use the empty mint containers. We like the mints, so we always have the containers.

 

I use a vitamin bottle. A big one like fish oil caps come in.

 

You could learn to eat them from Uday..

 

Although Uday seems to be enjoying his razor blade snack , I think I'll pass on eating them.
I'll stick to a blade bank.

 

I have a sharps container for used needles from when my wife and I were self injecting humira and Enbrel. That sucker will never get full from blades. Maybe 20 years from now I'll be duct taping the lid on it and tossing it. Most pharmacies have sharps containers available. Just another option.

 

The can I use will not be filled until long after I'm gone.
I'm not sure how to properly dispose of a blade, needles can be taken to my hospital. Not sure.

 

Prior to finding the elephant bank above, I was using an old prescription pill bottle that I melted a slot in top of with a heated screwdriver. Easy Cheezy Smeazy.

 

I got an old hard bandaid container with the flip lid. I cut a slit in the top and decorated a bit and there you go.

 

I remember that for the Razor Blades. I wonder how many are in the wall @ my Aunt and Uncles house?

 

I put the used blade in the wrapper of the new blade. I then scotch tape it to and index card and put it in the recycle bag. Please RECYCLE your OLD DE BLADES!

 

I have bladed with the plastic box with used blades slot I use for disposal. I got a tin of Altoids to use, just seal it and cut a slit in the top and drop the blades in.

 

What are you going to do when the wall is full?
