I tried the Super-Max Blue Diamond blade for the first time this morning. It did OK, but definitely not great. I ended up with a DFS without any irritation, but it just didn't feel like a sharp blade. It was fairly comfortable, but there are much better blades than this one. I'll have to see what my mood is tomorrow, but it may not get a second chance.

I received a sample of an unknown brand of Bay Rum from Chicago Shaving with an order I placed. It really doesn't matter what brand it was, because I wouldn't buy it anyway. It has a very strong clove scent with lots of staying power.

OK, my weekend shaves are not up to snuff. I'm not sure if it's the hot towel prep either being too short or not hot enough, but I only seem to get nicks on the weekends. Lather was a little off too. Caught myself using too mush pressure as well

The shave itself is good though, finally got my jaw line nice and smooth! If it wasn't for my Adam's apple and left cheek, I'd call this a BBS shave!

It is one thing to load a brush from a sample, another to load from an actual puck. As good as I thought the PPF soap was I now have an even higher opinion of it. This is one very fine soap, for me it is only second to MdC and that is only by a mere fraction. If Petal Pusher Fancies was able to reproduce that unique MdC scent I can see myself only using their soap.

Just a very enjoyable shave today….with a good lather, sharp blade and an efficient razor it is virtually impossible to go wrong..

Been a while since I broke out the Osage...an eye-opening experience!
The 38c is probably my mildest razor, and so I confidently moved quickly = a 10-minute 3-pass shave. DFS+!

This was my first shave with the new razor and the new soap and it was most likely the best shave I have ever had. Those open combs allowed the Teflon blade to quickly do its work. I enjoyed the shave on the neck with no cuts or weepers and its perfectly smooth. That's hard to do on my neck. A generous splash of HBG Bay Rum to tighten the skin and smell amazing.

A great way to start my workday!

I very impressed with this Fusion Proglide Cartridge, a BBS on the 15th day of use. The Barbasol provides enough cushion and slickness for me to go a little longer, a two pass with touch up with no irritation or burn, amazing. I may have to re-evaluate my lather method with soaps. The Barbasol 'Skin Conditioner' deserves all the praise it gets in the shaving boards. Aces!

Wow! What a nice shave. The Van Der Hagen Luxury soap face-lathered great with the Parker brush. I went back to the Gillette Slim today with the ASCO Super stainless. Set the razor on 7 and got a great two pass shave with touch-ups. This is just my second shave with this razor, but I will be using it over the next 7 days. I am looking forward to seeing how it performs over the long run. I am very impressed right now.​

2nd shave with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE. I brought out my Arko Stick this morning. They both did a great job: smooth, close, nick free. I finished with a blast of “Osage Brisk” and Nivea Post Shave Balm.
