    Happy Friday everyone!

Hi, my name is Jarrod, and I am a wet shavingaholic. Tomorrow it will be one week since my last cart!

In all seriousness, the past week has been amazing! I never knew I could have control over my shaving. To me, a shave was a shave. Not anymore. Angles, soaps, pre-shaves, etc all give me the power to decide my face'a fate. I have never looked forward to shaving as I now do. Thanks to people in groups like this, I know I have a life time of learning ahead of me!

I'm still working on my technique, but I did my first 3 pass shave this morning with zero nicks and only slight irritation on my chin. But the greatest part is how my technique has developed for my neck! It has always been a trouble spot, even with carts, but today I escaped with a smooth and irritation free neck!

    Thanks for everything!

    Razor: Merkur 33C
    Blade: Personna Blue
Pre-Shave: Nothing except a hot shower and Evolution Man face wash - I want to get into some form of oil
Cream: AOS (unscented) I would like to try the sandalwood though
    Post-Shave: Billy Jealousy Facial Moisturizer

Also, just a cheap brush that I picked up from Sally's. Hoping to pick up a badger or boar brush soon.

Further, any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

PS: here's a picture of the 'stache!

Sounds like a very good routine. I've been wanting to try some of those Personna lab blue's. Just remember to use nearly zero pressure.

The pressure was something that came fairly easily for me. After ordering my rig, I tried to practice some technique using my cart and methods of holding the razor. That definitely helped on my first shave! Now it is really coming down to finding the perfect angle and developing some muscle memory for it!

    Thanks for the advice!

:signs046: to TSD Jarrod........I hope you enjoy it here........:)

:happy096: on your beginning "traditional" shaving..If you like it now I tell you "IT ONLY GETS BETTER"!! That one of the joys of this type of shaving no matter how it starts the potential is always there for it to get better..This hobby/lifestyle is interesting, fun and it's empowering...It's also just plain nice to get a decent and irritation free shave on a regular basis...:)
