Normally I fear changing blades on my Autostrop.

That SE Feather is just too sharp on the first shave. The second... Third... Fourth etc go fine till its dull... But the first is always brutal.

    BUT TODAY WAS THE DAY!
Not a single bleeder, no missed spots, and no burn from the hazel.

Woo! My first successful Virgin blade spotless shave! :D

Glad to hear it! Many more!

Have you heard of "corking a blade" ?

I've never done it, but you simply run the edge of your blade through a cork once or twice. "They" say it smooths the blade for a more comfortable shave.

A piece of styrofoam works well and won't dull the blade quite as much as a cork.

Congrats, Sparkfly! I always love to use my Autostrop. A great little shaver!
