Prep: Hot shower, Dirigo Blue Aroostook PSO
    Coffee: 8 O'Clock Espresso, BLACK
CD: Petra ~ Power Praise... The Rock Cries Out
Soap: TSD SOTQ B1 Winter Pagoda
Brush: Mohawk 3-338 with original knot
    DE: '55 Blue Tip
    Blade: 7 O'Clock SharpEdge, day 3, 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickenson's WH, Brut Attitude, hand strop blade

A super mild razor; still rough along the jaw line. Using it made think back to who gave this to me, and the thought that it very well might have been purchased in the Italian section of Philly way back when. That's cool!

Gillette Fusion Proglide Power Multi-5 (day 5)
    Gillette Series Gel Moisturizing Hydration
    Walgreens Witch Hazel
    Family Dollar Spice

Another great shave with the Fusion Proglide and Gillette Series Gel! I am coming to the conclusion, a little sadly, that despite my
Love for the brush and soap, these foamy creams and gels like my face better, it's the way it is, but I'm so glad I can get an effortless DFS or BBS each morning. I guess my products chose me! Aces!

Love this old Greaves! The Irisch Moos is especially nice this morning after a steady overnight rain. One of the benefits of shave creams or shave soaps verses goo in a can is the wonderful scents that can be enjoyed using the SC's and SS's. It only takes a couple minutes more in the shaving routine to enjoy the luxury of their lather and their exotic scents. :love055:

    Aftershave: Floid Blue

This morning I used a Wilkinson blade(UK) for the first time that I had acquired in a 10 blade trade from another forum and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The blade provided feedback like a feather and I obtained a 2 pass BBS shave this morning. I believe that using my homemade pre-shave oil is really improving my shaves these past four days as I am down to doing just two passes and what use to be touch up spots under my chin left/right side and half way between my chin and lower lip are not an issue anymore. I still use the monster alum block every shave but I may not need it as I have zero stinging from razor irritation and skin is smooth post shave. Tomorrow will bypass the pre-shave oil to compare shave results.

First outing for the Stirling splash, now I love menthol and this didn't disappoint. My face literally ached it was so cold! My hands 20 minutes later can still feel it! Lovely aftercare very impressed.

Today's shave was a great one with the Cella shave cream. The Parker badger brush did a good job of face-lathering, and two passes and touch-up later with the Gillette Slim, I had a near BBS shave. I finished off with the Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS.

Prep: hot shower, L'Oreal Face Wash, TBS Maca Root Face Scrub.
    Brush: Turkish #6.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Cream: Mem Olive.
Post: cold water rinse, C.C. Bay Rum.

Today's shave wasn't that good. My lather was airy and lacked the slickness I'm accustomed to. I'll attribute that to not using this item for a long time. My skin feels kind of tight and not that comfortable. Not a good shave, but I'm DFS. I'll probably regret it tomorrow. The only good thing about this shave was the C.C. Bay Rum. I guess we all have those days.

Why didn't you use your Phyto balm? :angry019:  Your face would have then felt great! ;) Listen when Dodi tells you something!

Given how often I read folks warning not to use too much olive oil in shaving soaps and creams if you want a good lather, I'm always fascinated that Mem Olive has such a good reputation.

It was the first time I had problems with Mem Olive. I must have used too much water or not enough cream.

Midweek Shave! Wednesday Night November 20, 2013

Prep: Hot Shower, St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Stub
Pre Shave: Homemade Preshave oil with Peppermint Essential, Tea Tree, Glycerin, also used 3 drops of TSD M-bomb
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood Shave cream sample
    Brush: Waterford Badger
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Blade: Viking Sword (hand stropped)
    Post: Osma Alum
After Shave: Witch Hazel Infused with Peppermint Essential oil, followed by Proraso Pre/Post

Notes: This was a great shave on a great day off of deer hunting! I had no luck in killing one but hey that's how it goes most of the time. It was just nice to be out there in the outdoors getting some fresh air. Back to the shave, the TOBS sandalwood shave cream was everything i expected it to be. It was very creamy, lathered like a dream and provided an amazing shave just like my lemon and lime scented sample did.

Didn't have time to take photo today but this was my setup this morning :

    Prep : Ahava Men FaceClean
Brush : Frank Shaving silvertip, 23mm
    Soap : MdC
Razor : Gillette SuperSpeed black beauty - at 3
    Blade : Q-Ball (second use)
Post : Tarr lotion and some D.R. Harris Sandalwood
    Scuttle : Michal Yoresh double-walled

In one word, flawless . I wanted to change a little so today I used my birthday year razor and it did a very good job, actually the first time when paired with the Q-Ball blade, it look like I'll use it more in the future.

Do you fell that smell is the air ? It's the week-end, it's coming !!!!!! ;)
