  2. I started with my western style Japanese straight, Hana Tombo and did one pass and realized it needed a touchup, so I finished my shave with my Dovo Fritz Bracht.

  5. Wow, quite a razor. Whose the maker?

  7. Not sure. The guy (from SRP) who made it sold it on eBay last year.

  8. I don't have a picture, but it was my SRP Logo LE by Robert Williams.
  9. Since I only have ONE usable, shave-ready straight, I'll have to keep posting new images of the same razor. Once my hand heals, I'll be able to tackle some restoring & honing of the other two razors.
In the meantime, it's the Böker…again.

  10. Boker is very good. I have several, all seem to be 5/8. I wonder if they ever make larger razors?
  11. An ebay H. Böker, advertised as a '3/4' straight...

I might use some Sheffield razors this week.

  13. Nice scuttle. I like the brush as well. Wade and Butcher must have supplied the planet with straights when they were in business. They're everywhere you turn and they are good razors.

I'm taking a shaving holiday today. I think I shaved more skin than beard in some areas of my face the last two days.

  15. Another W&B, this one is a wedge (Lather Well, Shave Well). A good shaver I received from Stingraysrock.

  16. This is the straight I'll use tonight in a couple of hours. Hoken 66 H.Y.S. 2.7, Best Razor, Toyo Koken Co. LTD, a western style Japanese straight. The H.Y.S. 2.7 stands for Hitachi Yasuki Steel 2.7 and is a factory version of Tamahagane steel. Notice the wave pattern of patina on the each side due to differential heat treatment. 2uqdvlk.jpg 10o2ydt.jpg
  17. That's a beaut, Robert.

  19. Thanks. I had to switch it out for my Kinsyo, because it was calling out for a touchup. Good looking Kropp.

  20. Still in need of a good polishing & edge touch-up, but my first go with this Reppenhagen Diamondine#7.
