You have to hit the sweet spot with Palmira, I had trouble getting good lather with it at first but after some experimentation I found the perfect recipe for mountains of lather from Palmira. Let the soap soak with some warm water on the surface for a few minutes, squeeze and shake off your brush, leave just a little bit of water on the soap surface and start loading with a dryish brush, and add water in small amounts gradually. Once you figure out exactly how much water you need it will give you loads of lather with ease

Still in Florida, I really don't like it here. My morning shave was nice, a BBS surprise! Aces!

 

Dude I wish I could switch you places right now. It's cold and snowy here in the depressing Midwest.

 

I would love that! I'm originally from Minnesota and I rather miss the seasons I should be used to the heat, since I live in Tucson, but I hate it more every year.

 

I'm moving to Texas. Then in a couple years, I'll be in Florida. My mom lives there and my dad will join her in a few months when he retires from the prison.

The only thing I like about the Midwest is the deer hunting. I also live in the worst state in the Midwest (Illinois.) Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Indiana are all nice; but way too cold in the winter.

 

Thanks, Bruce. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the shave went, considering I was using a new, larger blade & my being a rather clumsy shaver —at least until my hand heals.
Balsa strop with .3 Chromium & then .1 iron oxide, then leather strop until the edge was where I wanted it to be.

Some of my family still goes every year but I have not even gone hunting in over 30 years since my Grandfather passed away.
The state of Texas has really worked hard on maintaining the herds and the population has increased dramatically.
Some major cities have problems with deer and interaction with cars and people in recent years.

 

Thems not the only critters y'all be findin' in Texas!

 

Just like Illinois. We didn't have a deer season for the longest time. Now there are millions and millions of deer here. I hit a big deer last spring and did a lot of damage to my car. Luckily I was unharmed though and I have full coverage.

 

One of these days I'll get paroled out of this state.
