Just received this beauty from a friend over on B&B, with the original case, is a circa '55 Parat. This being the cousin to the American Superspeed delivers a beautiful shave, yet is more aggressive when using my standard IP Red blades. Here's a few pics:
Wow you've got great friends. Congrats. Unfortunately this was a shave timeless Xmas for me. I was hoping for a scuttle but the wife didn't get the hint. So I thought maybe she'll get me blades,cream,something. Nada, but I did get Clint Eastwood western DVD so that's cool.
Have to teach them that a baby butt smooth shaved face with the right gear is actually a present to them as well when you think about it
Thanks for the comments friends. After more than a week this razor is firmly in the rotation along with my Fatboy, Slim and 40's Superspeed. Based on the quality of the shave and ease of use, this Parat is everything others have said about it. Now I crave it's older brother, an HD, but until I can find one I can afford, this set will do nicely!
