Got this little Tonsorial Gem by E.A. Clauberg off ebay. Cleaned the blade then honed it on lapping film. This was my first honing attempt and I am extremely pleased how it came out. It was sharp and gave a great shave! I can honestly say it was the best SR shave Ive had. The blade is extremely thin, much thinner than any of my other SR's. I guess that would be a full hollow ground? The brush and bowl were the goodies Lyndon sent me. Thanks bro! I used Bay Rum soap courtesy of the TSD Shop and the November Newb win. Thank you Joanne! The soap smells great and yields a terrific lather. Go buy some!
The blade had a little discoloration but not much and a couple spots of rust. I used 0000 steel wool with WD-40 and then used a metal polish.
That is a perfectly done Shaver I have always like those razors, and yes that is a full hollow, can't tell from the pic if it has a "Bellied" or "Double Grind"
Has anyone ever seen bone scales on any of the Clauberg razors? The scales are very thin and the look of the ends make me believe these may be bone. Thanks all.
