I do that with my Gillette New LC as well, slowly rotate till I see the blade at the right angle. Seems to work like a charm.

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Razor: Schick Grip
    Blade: Schick injector blade (?)
    Soap: HTGAM cavendish
Brush: Surrey handle, Omega 22mm boar knot
Post: Alum, RazorRock AS wax (Almost gone as you can see in the pic. Have a bunch of ASBs to replace it including another RR wax in lime)

Got pumped up to use my Schick Grip since GDC has been using his. :rofl:Had a pretty good shave. The schick always gives me a nice shave and got a great lather with the HTGAM soap tonight. Added a bit more water where I would have normally stopped and it worked out well. Thanks for the tip GDC. Love the cavendish smell. Great way for a nonsmoker to enjoy the pleasant smell of pipe tobacco. My face is feeling a bit beat up plus yesterday and today. Maybe a combo of the extra cold weather and a zit above my upper lip. I think I may have to cut back to every other day again. It's just better for my sensitive skin to have off days. But I still like to treat myself to a face lather on off days.

The Col. Conk Lime SS face-lathered quite easily with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. Just two passes with the Schick M adjustable left me near BBS. A cold water rinse followed by Thayers Cucumber WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS finished off this great shave. I am smooth, clean, and refreshed.

Another bone-chillingly cold shave on another bitterly-cold morning which shows that Old Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Jeff is a hopelessly-addicted Menthol Junkie and he has to have his fix. The Mentolo soap is one hell of a face-freezer with a nice scent and great lather and skincare. This Gillette balm is not only frigid, it's so moisturizing and soothing. I absolutely love the Barbon aftershave! ;) :D

Have a nice weekend, folks! :)

    Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap
Soap: Los Angeles Shaving Soap-Bay Rum
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Polsilver SI (3)
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar-24mmx54mm
    Aftershave: V.I. Bay Rum

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I was back with the LASS samples today in the Slim using the Polsilver SI. The LASS lathers very well in hard water and provides a nice close and slick shave. I finished up with Virgin Island Bay Rum.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
    Blade: Feather (day 3)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Cream: Musgo Real Classic
    Passes: 3 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water

Went back to the Musgo Real cream this morning. Not sure if it was the cream or face lathering, but I ended up with a thicker lather that wasn't as slick as the Proraso.

Still a great shave and the sent seems to be lasting longer then the soaps I have...

Glad to see the tip worked. For the skin issues, you might want to make sure to clean your face with Witch Hazel after you shave and then sometime later in the day clean the face with Witch Hazel. That will reduce the bacteria that causes acne and reduces inflammation of the skin.

    Boar Brush Week -Day 5

Pre: Hot shower, Shea Moisture Facial Scrub, homemade Citrus PSO
    Razor: Merkur Futur, set@4
    Blade: Merkur Super
    Brush: Omega Pro 48 Boar
    Lather: Speick Cream
Shave: Two pass , plus DE touch-p
Post: Cold water rinse, alum block, Black River Bay Rum

A very serene morning, enabling me to enjoy a very close & noisy shave. There's something in the design of the Futur's head that creates a very audible sound when shaving. Certain razors mow down whiskers fairly quietly and some razors give more audible feedback. The Futur is probably the 'loudest' razor I've had the pleasure of using. ;)

Prep: Warm shower, Corn Huskers Lotion
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Personna Lab (1)
    Soap: TOBS St. James
Brush: Omega Boar Travel Brush 50014
Post: Witch Hazel, Corn Huskers Lotion
    Aftershave: Brut

Excellent shave! The Omega Travel Brush does a great job for such a small brush. I'm working on getting it broken in. This is only the 3rd time I've used it, but it has been really nice right out of the box.

Up until today, the only blade I had used in the Weber PH is a Voskhod. The Voskhod is a fantastic blade, but I thought I'd see how the Personna Lab faired in the Weber. The Personna performed every bit as well as the Voskhod. I think I liked the Personna even better in the Weber than in the EJ DE89L; and it is my favorite in the EJ.

    Have a great day!

    HTGAM unscented soap
    Oscar11 brush with HIS knot
    ShaveCraft 101 razor
    Gillette yellow blade
    Cold rinse
    CeraVe lotion

Excellent shave! The HTGAM soap made lots of thick lather. I did three passes, felt great and still had plenty of lather, so I decided to go a fourth pass, ATG. Went slowly and carefully and got an outstanding BBS finish without irritation.
