Durham Duplex Safety Straight Razors

There are TONS of these still floating around out there and one of them is in my sock drawer! Has anyone used one? I picked one up for $6.00 but I cannot find blades. Are there (blades) still in production?

 

I have one but I have not used it. Here is what I been able to find.

At the price they are asking, I am not all that interested in trying.

 

There are those that have apparently gotten good results from carpet blades.. some made by Personna in fact and others found at Home Depot. They are purportedly usable for shaving, though personally I'd feel better if they were sterilized..

 

This guys shaving technique gives me the creeps.

Yes you can still find packs of vintage Duplex blades on occasion on ebay...I've also heard, although I've never bought any, that Durham still make new blades that fit, but they are sold as dog groomer blades..Worth checking out...
