Up for this week is my new (pre-new year tho) puck of SRD's Bourbon Vanilla. Man, does it smell good! As with the Opus X, it lathers practically by looking at it.

BRILLIANT!!! I received the Shavecraft today and i´m really impressed. Very very gentle but at the same time very thoroughly. You don´t even notice that you have a blade loaded. You only hear the razor cutting off the whiskers but nothing more. Awesome!!! This will be my combination for the next weeks. The PannaCrema is the best soap out there for me. Thick,slick,protective lather with a heavenly scent.I love to shave with it.​

First time using my new face wash, Pure Power from L'Oreal. It's an exfoliating wash with salicylic acid and little corns that really gives your skin a good scrub. Smells good also. The Tech continues to rock, even with the Viking's Sword on it's fifth day. Amazing. "Sadly" my Slant 37C arrived shortly after my shave :-( So I have to wait for tomorrow to take it for a test drive.

I tried the Synergy Cavendish today. The high praise is well deserved. It lathers like a champ in hard water with no effort. The Cavendish scent is great! The lather gave me a very good smooth, close, and nick free shave. The Slim and the Perma-Sharp did their part too! I finished with Clubman.

Balmy 18 degrees F here in south Texas this morning. Coldest morning in decades for us. I know, it is not real "Northern Cold"!

Since there are two Ingram creams from Egypt - Blue and Green, I have to differentiate. The Blue version is the regular one which is practically identical to the British version. The Green version is somewhat colder than the Blue which is also PLENTY cold. The Svoboda balm felt so cooling and nice after my shave and the Skin Bracer really did a great job of adding some extra freeze.

Today's shave brought to you by the letter "G", and the word WOW! First shave with a straight today, I'm looking forwards to tomorrows shave!

There was significant tugging with the first pass of the straight, almost felt like the razor was sticking to my face. Sideburns to jaw line done on the right side of my face. It took a while to figure out how to hold the razor for the same pass on the left side, but again tugging was the only issue. Feeling overconfident, I went back to the right side of my face to finish off and the square point gave me a little bite.
I put the straight down and switched to the DE to finish off, which is where the WOW comes in... absolutely no audible feedback on the second pass where I used the straight!
I ended up getting bit by the feather in the DE on my third pass.
A few bites with today's shave, but I'm very happy with the results from the straight!

Shave: Two pass , plus DE touch-up
Post: Cold water rinse, alum block, Clubman Bay Rum

Not much whisker stubble after yesterday's close shave (one of the perks of having a light beard growth), so little resistance to the Böker this morning.
The DRHarris soap is a big more challenging to 'give up' good lather, and fortunately the Chinese-made Lijun was up to the task, resulting in a mountain of rich lather.
DE razor for some oh-so-slight touch-up = BBS this morning!
