    Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've been able to post here. Life has been lifing me, so to speak. Anyway I've found some spare time and have a question. as many of you may remember, I've been intrigued by scents since joining this forum.

I just received a collection of "classic" scents which included both English Leather and Canoe. The EL seems to smell just like 4711 and the Canoe smells just like Pinaud Clubman classic. I've smelled them both out of the bottle and on my skin and cannot pick up any differences. Are these comparisons accurate, or is my shnoz just unable to pick up any subtle differences?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Love my old man scents,
Aqua Velva, Clubman. An old barber in New Orleans used to put some green concoction on me after a straight shave, I asked him every time what it was and his reply was allways the same "frog juice" I love that stuff but have no idea what it was.

    Okay,
It's good to know that my nose ain't broke. I redid my previous experiment, and Clubman still smells like Canoe, but the 4711 doesnt smell like English Leather, musta had a cold during the first test.

Guess I like the"old man" scents as well. Pinaud, Old Spice , Aqua Velva, Brut and Stetson have sll become my favorites.

I love Canoe and Clubman. I can tell a difference, but they are so similar that they can be used interchangeably.
