I don't think anyone here electric shaves / mows .... we're all here b/c we enjoy non-electric / wet shaving.

edit: And AFAIK, we were founded as a *wet* shaving board, not a general shaving board.

Actually I have a Braun 590 that I use occasionally on exercise ;). Not a bad electric at all but I do prefer wet shaving

The first and last time I used an electric razor was back in the 80's. Not my tool of choice.

I had a Norelco in college in the early 70s. Not as good as a blade and goo though. Irritating. Can't see the need for an electric shaving forum here. YMMV

I'd rather use an electric than ruin brushes or lose vintage razors ;)

Does using an electric even qualify as shaving? At the end of a shave with top end Bruan, or Norelco
or Remington or Panasonic .. more stubble is left than I mow down on my first pass 24 hours after my shave now. None the less, no interest here in electrics.

They do have an electric razor forum, just not at this site.

If the forum owner would be open to it I don't see the issue in having a forum for it.
I don't see myself participating there as I don't use that barbaric way of shaving :) - but maybe we could convert some people into traditional wet shaving if they came here :)

We might as well have a waxing thread while were at it.

If we get an electric shaver area, could we then have a "manscape" sub-forum?

    What??

I believe that's already a sub-forum of "Straight Razor Users."

There are people who use electrics daily. They're just as welcome on TSD as anyone who uses other methods of shaving....I just keep mine for necessity and it was a nice gift from a family member.
