The thing I love about Cella is the aroma. Shaved using it today. Lathered with a Semouge 1305 which worked fine but you sure have to put in a lot more effort with a boar brush than badger IMO.
I got my first tub of Cella in the mail yesterday with some Razorock Classic. I have yet to use it but it smells amazing, actually just like the Razorock. Its my first italian soft soap and I've heard thats what they do best.
Holy old thread ressurrection. Old news to all of you but Cella has been on my short list of creams to try. Love the almond scent and mounds of lather ... although I used too much product this a.m. First lather indicates it is a keeper!
Love the Cella myself, but RazoRock's ABCBA is an even more aromatic Almond shaving soap - was able to get my hands on a block @ Italian Barber...not sure if there is any left as people here at TSD where salivating over being able to order it LOL.
Anybody know anywhere in the UK I could get a small sample to try? Definitely would like to try some.
You must not be doing it right ? Cella IMHO is one of the best. I'm with you brother, Cella is not light and airy. He definitely used too little product. Yes one of the riches and creamiest available.... Plus it's extremely easy to Lather... Buy the KG block. If I only had a choice of 1 soap.... This is it.
I used up my small sample over a month ago, and concluded Cella was by far the best soap of the many I have tried at any price. Once I get through some soap inventory Cella is at the top of my list.
Cella is one of my favorites too, but RazoRock ABCBA is Cella on steroids (in my opinion anyway). Cella has a great price though, and I will always have some in my den.
Cella works excellent for me. The little red tub will last a long time. Unless my wife and daughter take it over. The only downside is the size of the tub. The opening is very small.
I agree with you on that. The lather on cella just isnt for me and I definitely prefer TOBS over it or razorock.
Hi folks. My first post here. I have both the tub of cella and the kilo (I think it was $35.00 for the kilo) Yes, the kilo CAN be stored for a long period of time as long as it is kept air tight.. Wrap it well and stick it in a cupboard or drawer. As long as it is not hot, it should keep. I happen to keep min in the fridge, mainly because I have more room there than on my shelves. The two types of Cella ARE different. The 1KG (extra-extra purissima) is slightly creamier than the small container. Even if you have both, you would be hard pressed to tell which one is which based just on the lather.
I'll be receiving some red tub Cella soon...will be very interesting to compare it to my 3P that I really, really like.
Shame that the Italian Barber shop has stopped selling the slices off the block. I was looking forward to trying this one in the future. Maybe I'll give the Vitos a go at some point.
