Listen my friend...You're still 'The Man' no matter which style razor you may 'choose' on any perticular morning...and I know sooo many of us who love to 'tune-in' and see what you are 'up to, what you are using and how you like it.... You've always been one of my favorite 'corner shave writters'...Keep the Dovo, you never know what the future may bring...in the meantime I know we will love checking out your shave no matter what your using...The main ingredient I wish for you is that you 'enjoy' whatever combo you do use.. All the best to you and yours, my friend...
Jeff, I understand. Free Hand Drawing was something that I enjoyed from my youth, but I cannot do that now after the Carpal Tunnel Surgeries on both hands, even though I got back 80 - 85% of the use after both procedures which is a blessing. That is why I do not pursue using the straight razors. Things change and it is wise to know when to change with them.
Sorry to hear about your loss at such a young age. I have been toying with the idea of straights, but have not got the nerve. It is probably too late for me. We still have DEs and our Schicks.
Sorry for this loss, perhaps you can find a barber who does what mine does-he'll shave me with my own straights. You can get a wonderful shave with your own razor.
I wish it didnt have to end that way but there is a bright side. Now treat your self to a Gillette double ring to ease the pain and have a great addition to your line up.
Sorry to hear....I have not worked up the nerve to use a straight yet. Life is not over just a little bump along the path! I wish you all the best!!
Sorry to hear that. Nothing wrong with switching to a good DE like a vintage Gillette or something like that.
Freeze your sorrows Jeff! Sucks dude, I really feel bad for you....kinda weird how we get attached to our silly little implements isn't it? I hope you find a DE that can give you some of that fulfillment.
