I used the new RazoRock Limited Edition San Valentino soap this morning. It is a "croap". I found the rose-lemon scent to be refreshing and not the least bit girly. I enjoyed it. It was strong but not at all overpowering. As expected, it easily produced a slick, thick lather. I let some hot water sit on top while I showered. I dumped the water out, loaded my brush, and went right to my face. Great shave! I am curious to see everyone else's impressions.
I used the Sam Valentino today as well and thought it lathered really well - though I've come to expect that with RR - and found the scent to be exactly as you stated...I could smell the rose, but it smelled more like a barbershop rose than a perfume rose - if that makes any sense. All in all, a winner all the way around.
Test lathered both of the new soaps. Shaved with SV. As usual with RR soaps the things just perform wonderfully! The Argan oil left my face very soft and moisturized. The smell of each is different to every nose. Mine wishes there was at least 50% more scent in each of these. SV does smell like Rose but for me it was just a small whisper of scent. Lemon I couldn't pick up at all. The SoZ has more scent ut again not nearly enough. The RR soaps that have the scent strength spot on are Don Marco, S. Maria, ABCBA. To me these scent strengths should be the benchmark. I would thing RR could offer a line of sensitive soaps that are lightly scented instead of being hit and miss like they are now.
Agree with the strength of the SOZ which is why have been pushing for an after shave of this scent. The scent is great and feel like it fits a bsuy work day filled with meetings for me.
