Yes, but you can get the refill puck for $15. I just rub the puck on my face and don't need the bowl.
One of the easiest soaps to lather I've ever tried and so slick I cut my knee the last time I shaved.
Tabac is a solid performer. I think it's pretty comparable to Arko performance-wise. The scent is complex and hard to describe. I wasn't sure about it at first but it grows on you. It's musky, woodsy, maybe a little flowery and powdery too. IMO the slickness of Tabac is better than lots of things you could buy and it's worth trying. The puck is pretty big so $15 for the refill isn't a bad deal. I wouldn't go for the bowl & puck until you're sure you want to keep it around.
Of the few creams and soaps I absolutely love tabac soap is in my top 3. Another soap you might wanna try is stirling soap. Huge pucks for around 6 bucks before shipping. I have frozen tundra and love it. Arrived 3 days after I ordered it
I also find Tabac to be an excellent product. The puck will last a long time, and I like the jar. It's one of the slickest soaps I've used, and it's also in my top three.
I love the performance and scent of Tabac, too bad it doesn't agree with my face I felt a slight burning 9/10 times the second the lather was on. Might try the cream but IMO it's worth the try for every person.
I love the Tabac soap. Initially I thought, as with Justin, that I was allergic to the scent. But I haven't had any problems since my first lathers, so now it's just Tabac heaven. Great performance, available locally for one week here (yeah we Danes rock retail!) and an, to me, amazing scent! I have the bowl-version - it was the only one available, but also for a price not much higher than the refill online. Good one
