Despite not being thrilled with the shaving process this morning, I got an excellent shave. I've used the RazoRock Nonno Michelino many times before and found that it tended to dry out on my face before I could complete a pass. I set it aside thinking I would come back to it at a later date and give it another try. Well today was the day and I still found it to dry out on my face before I could complete a pass. I will pass this to my son and let him give it a try. Maybe he will have better results.

I know I'm in the minority, but I can't say that I really like the Floid Blue aftershave. I'm not a big fan of the scent. I have a small sample that I am trying, but I think I will let my son give this a try as well. It's really disappointing that I don't like it any more than I do. I love the scent of Floid Amber and was hoping that I would like this one as much.

Post: Cold water rinse, Alum block, Wm Neumann 'Heartwood' balm

Another aggressive yet comfortable, über-close morning shave! Near BBS with no irritation—this is good news as typically I use only Feathers or Personna Labs in this razor. Good to be able to use another blade —since I have a ton of the Astras—and still get a smooth, comfy shave.

I think when I get done experimenting with all the Schick injectors I've acquired I'm going to end up liking the StickSchick (L2) the most and giving it a permanent spot in the rotation. I'd still like to get my hands on an E2 or a M Adjustable but for now the shifter is going to sit in the top spot. Hadn't used my VDH Deluxe for a long time so it was good to break it out today.

First time using a Micromatic and received a fantastic shave. Definitely has more bite than the Damaskeene and the blade just feels that it is breaking in at day 6. With this razor wouldn't be surprised if I received another week out of the blade if not more. Gem Micromatic was my grandfathers favorite razor and now I can see why.

HERE'S ONE FOR THE BOOKS!

The wife yelled from the shower "Am I out of blades?" She is terrified of my de & se and wont even consider using one.
"Yea honey." I handed her my 69 sa and while she was shampooing I took her canned lady goo out of the shower."Where's my gel?" "Don't know hon, use this." I hander her one of my apotgecary mugs that had an artisian rose puck I havent used forever, due to the "girly" smell.
She called from behind the curtain "I dont wanna cut my legs off" I assured her that my "new" black razor wasn't like my others, it wouldnt cut her unless she pushed down on it. She only agreed because she needed to shave and was out of cartridges.
I didn't make a big deal out of it and went into the other room. She found me after dressing and said she loved the smell of the soap and the way it made her "slippery" said she didnt think the razor was cutting, it was so smooth. She said if I had offered my "new" razor, she would have tried it long ago. She was astounded when I told her it was my "new 1969 Black Beauty adjustable." And I dialed it down to a 3 for her use.
The last thing she said was, can you get me one? As she was going through my den picking her out a mug and brush.
I think I have created a monster.
