How many razor blades do you use monthly?

If I don't use my str8's all month I'll go through 11 or 12 de's, same with se's. I get 2 good shaves and 1 ok shave out of a disposable blade, de or carbon se.

 

It depends on which blades I use. Most blades give me three shaves per blade. The ASR store brand blades in CVS give me five, as do a few others. The Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinums give me 12-14 shaves per blade.

 

I shave every other day and toss the blade after 3 uses , with the Reds at least. I have to see how long a Lab can last me., Hopefully the same. If so, I know this is off topic, but I have enough blades to last me over 3 years.

 

I get from 3 to 5 shaves from a blade, so 6 - 10 blades is expected. I could theoretically see 5, but theory and practice haven't become synonymous yet.

 

I generally change the blade every three shaves. The type of blades I use are fairly inexpensive (Personna Reds, Astra Plats, Derbys, Gillette Yellows/Blues, Blue Birds) so I don't push. I have tried Feathers which went ~5/6 but have given them to my son. These bad boys are just too sharp for me...I generally look like I came out on the short end of a knife fight after using them.

 

I'm a daily, three-pass shaver. New blade goes in Saturday and I get seven comfortable shaves with it. I should mention these are the Gillette/Wilkinson blades. When I was using the Gillette Blacks, I could go two weeks between blades replacement.

 

I go through 4-6 double edge blades and 1-2 single edge blades per month. The straights and Rolls razors can be honed and will last forever.

 

At least four and up to eight or possibly ten depending on which blades I am using. Vikings sword and Personna Blues are one a week for me. Most other blades I change after two or three uses.

 

I generally try for 3 shaves per blade, which is 1 per week for me. But that third shave is usually a bit of a struggle for my skin. It doesn't bother me if after two shaves I switch to something fresh, so many blades out there to try!!!

 

I shave everyday and get 2-3 shaves per blade so 12-15 per month since I shave again if I have and night appointment.

4 to 6 blades a month average depending on brand of blade. I always do three passes per shave.

 

I am a 3-and-out man. So I'd say 10 blades/mo.

 

Depends on my whims and which razor I'm using. Some razors I use Feathers - 4-5 shaves. Some I use Astra - 2 shaves, Some Personna - 3 shaves. Depending on the mix, probably average 10 blades/month. I'm set for years!

 

If I use the DE all week (which is rare now - trying to learn to use the straight) then 2-3 per week, or 8-12 per month.
But, if I can ever learn to hone and strop without killing the fresh hone, then 0 per week.

 

5-7 blades, 3 pass shaves, and shaving 5-6 days a week

 

Around 10-13. I try to only use a blade 3 times, but I'll lose track sometimes. When in doubt, I throw them out. I'd rather throw one away a day early than a day late.

 

Also 1 blade per week, 4-5 per month.

 

I use about 6, between two razors.
